Haute Hostess Aprons has adorable sheer aprons for every occasion, including ones we hadn't thought of, like dressing up to live in a sorority house (maybe it is like the movies?) and in school colors to cheer on your team during the big game.

There is also a wedding style that we think is intended for the shower, and perhaps some naughty activity on the honeymoon. To us, it's is more like something you'd wear with nothing but a great pair of shoes and some perfume, but we're open to the possibility that the right sheer apron could also look good over a $5k silk wedding gown. It is metallic rick rack.

And of course, the usual suspects, Christmas and Halloween (Sexy Witch!) are also well represented.

So if you've ever wished for a modern take on the 50s-style dressy "entertaining apron" Haute Hostess is the place to find it. At $100 they aren't for wearing around the house to make marinara sauce, but they are just the thing for hosting an elegant cupcake party while watching Mad Men.

Check out a selection of the color combinations in the gallery.
