New York's finest dress to impress at the Metropolitan Opera opening gala

There were dozens of celebrities wearing amazing gowns at the Metropolitan Opera's opening gala. Everybody looked like a million bucks. But, one person in particular stood out to us, and not necessarily in the best way. Taylor Momsen might want to think about toning down her image -- the girl is 15 for pete's sake and crying out loud! And she looks like she's 25, at least.
Why is she in a rush to grow up so quickly? Sure, our media is terribly oversexualized, but at the same time, she needs to reign in the makeup, hair and clothes ASAP, before the blogs started calling her a 40 year old hooker like they do 14 year old Aliana Lohan.
We love Gossip Girl. We might love Taylor Momsen just as much if she stopped trying so hard. The girl could take a lesson from a few other celebs in attendance who knew how to dress age appropriately and still look amazing -- Georgina Chapman, Helen Mirren, Martha Stewart, Juliana Margulies, Helena Christensen, Parker Posey, Molly Sims and Christie Brinkley -- just to name a few.

At the Metropolitan Opera's opening gala I bet all of the rich and famous were there. Hopnopping with other rich and famous. Wonder if they had gas prices on their minds?

Yikes, you are right Taylor Momsen does look very grown. Where is her mother? Helena looks fantastic. Wow.
