Style Lies: Grease and chocolate are pimple inducers

Good news! Eating greasy foods and chocolate do not cause acne. Repeat, do not cause acne! Joy!

The fact of the matter is that putting food in your mouth, no matter what the food, does not directly cause zits. What does cause zits is oil. If you find that you often get pimply after pizza, it isn't the food in your body that's doing the damage. It's the oil outside of your body that could possibly be dripping onto your face or simply floating in the atmosphere that's causing it. Once that oil crusts over a pore, it's all over. So bottom line is, even if you didn't eat the pizza, if you are around that open box, you are prone.

If you are eating a greasy food or chocolate, be sure to wash your face afterward to prevent pimples.

And keep in mind this doesn't give free reign to eat pizza every meal for life. There certainly are internal side effects to eating unhealthy foods all the time, even if you now know zits aren't one of them.
