Creepy Angelina Jolie doll has lots and lots of company

Filed under: Style in the News

So...remember that creepy but irresistible Angelina Jolie doll that Annie found on eBay? It was a little too lifelike, but also a little too idealized...basically we've been waiting to hear that it came to life and killed the guy (because it was a guy, right?) who bought it for £2,000.

Now the Daily Mail has a story on the artist, Noel Cruz. And guess what? There are more dolls. A lot more.

Mr. Cruz has an amazing talent, and an equally amazing obsession with repainting the doll faces to look like A-list (well, except for Kirsten Dunst) celebrities, both in and out of character.

Who else has Cruz immortalized? It's a diva heavy list. Cher. Celine. Daniel Craig. But he also adds bit of old Hollywood glamor, with multiple versions of Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara, and the lovely Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins.

You really have to see Cruz's site for yourself. And make sure you click through to see the multiple views of the eBay auctions! However, we're not responsible if you buy one, and wake up one night to find it sitting on the pillow next to your head. Just watching you. And holding a knife!

Our favorites (like the, uh, sorta porn-starish 3-fer of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow) in the gallery.
