Cell phones by Porsche and Prada

Want a new cell that'll make you stand out? Forget about bedazzling a Crackberry -- be the first one on your block to own either Prada or Porsche's newest phone.

Fashion and technology have been mixing it up for a while, and with plenty of success -- Prada's first phone sold a million units, and they plan to sell even more of the newest incarnation. Both companies priced the phones at 600 euros (about $817), and while Prada's will only be available in Europe, Porsche will supply 73 Porsche Design Stores with its phone, including four in the States.

Aside from a name, the phones will offer the type of functionality you'd expect at such a price point. Prada's black and silver phone has a slide out Qwerty keyboard that can be used horizontally, but the phone can be used vertically with its touch screen. It will also house a five megapixel camera, video call function and HTML browser.

Porsche's gray and black phone, made from a solid block of aluminum and covered with antiscratch glass, will feature a generously sized touch screen and a special security feature -- a sensor to detect the owner's fingerprints to protect personal data. Of course, it also contains a camera and video camera (and you know your naughty pictures and videos will be safe), as well as an MP3 reader and Wi-Fi connection.
