Scrabble, sparkling Hollywood-style

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Style for a Cause

Classic board game SCRABBLE turns 60 this year, and to celebrate the company created a Swarovski crystal encrusted SCRABBLE board.

It was unveiled at a charity event where Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Green, Natalie Maines, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Skeet Ulrich, Rashida Jones and more played the first sparkling games. Who knew Jimmy Kimmel could spell?

The board will be auctioned off on eBay, with the proceeds to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The board is worth $20,000, mainly because of the 30,000 Swarovski crystals, which were applied by hand, although the celebrity connection adds a little excitement, too!

You can check out the status of the auction here, and see some shots of the literate stars in the gallery.
