Michelle Obama on Jay Leno in J. Crew - Get The Look!

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Get the Look

Last night Michele Obama took a break from the Presidential campaign trail and made an appearance on the Jay Leno show. She talked about her husband Barack's ailing grandmother, Toots, and her daughter's lack of awe for his upcoming 30 minute T.V. special. But the big news was her stylishly cheery yellow ensemble.

Jay tried to lure her into commenting on the flap over Governor Palin's $150,000 wardrobe, but Michelle neatly sidestepped that land mine by gesturing to her own outfit and exclaiming, "This is from J. Crew!"

The audience cheered and Jay admitted that he had no idea what that meant. Michelle explained that she buys lots of her outfits online, because it's so convenient. The unspoken subtext was that it's also more affordable than Neiman Marcus, but as usual Mrs. Obama took the high road and graciously moved on to the next topic.

In this econmy, we're all for looking pulled together on a budget, and J. Crew has some great sales right now, including some of the items Michelle wore on Leno. Get the look for yourself in the gallery!
