Designers for less - Tip of the day!

Filed under: Style Tip of the Day

Times are tough. But it doesn't mean your wardrobe has to suffer. There are plenty of amazing designers and celebs doing lines for less. You can still round out your winter wardrobe with these affordable lines.

Kristin Davis

Kristin's self-titled line is based on Southern tradition. She recently told InStyle that "Southerners are very interested in fashion but they're not overly sexy. I steered away from trends... and made the look more universally wearable." The line includes clothes, bags, jewels, and shoes. Plus, Kristin placed the line in Belk department stores so she could keep prices to a min. Price points run from about $65 for tops up to $250 for a belted trench.

PREEN

Preen is known for their very simple yet structured style aesthetic. However, tedious pricetags often forbid budget conscious shoppers from even considering a precious Preen pair, that is, until TopShop saved the day... again. A pair of Preen pumps will only cost you $115 while the incredible suede ankle booties, a low $140.

House of Harlow 1960

If you couldn't tell by the name, House of Harlow is Nicole Richie's 60+ piece jewelry line with Mouawad. The collection is dead on with Richie's boho glam style and the eras from which she pulled inspiration - the 60's and 70's. You can get some amazing pieces for $12 - $125.

Sigerson Morrison

Check out shoe designers Kari Sigerson and Miranda Morrison's self described "glamour and glitz" filled line for Target. All of the shoes are totally versatile and can be used both day and night. But the best part? Nothing is priced over $40.

Jonathon Saunders

Heck! Make Target your one stop shop if you wish and check out Scottish designer Jonathon Saunders modern collection for GO International. The lineup features enough sweatdresses, tops, bottoms, and outerwear to get you through the entire winter in colorful, contemporary style. Plus every piece is well under $40.
