Pants in Boots for Men - Yea or Nay?

Filed under: Runway Trends, Shoes, Men

When the pants tucked into boots look hit women's fashion a few years ago, it struck with a vengeance. Now, according to some urban trend-spotters, the look is starting to spread across the gender divide. As we've browsed through all the examples we could find, we can't seem to find any that look casual and smart. Instead, most of it really smacks of somebody who's trying too hard. Is this really a look that a man can wear on the street without getting made fun of?

Judging to the positive responses we got to the mantyhose post, we're guessing that a lot of people will embrace the look. But, the more important question here is: does the boots outside pants look work for normal guys? And, how does one pull this look off?

As far as we can tell, the only way to wear these and not look overly metro-sexual is to pair some semi baggy jeans and Timberland boots. Yeah, it's kind of a hip hop look, and it goes against what the Times says to do, but it seems like the best way to keep from looking like your on the way to riding school.
