Combat Winter Hair Blues - Tip of the Day!

Filed under: Hair Care, Must Haves, Style Tip of the Day, Beauty Tips, Hair Cut and Style

Gisele BundchenWinter certainly takes its toll on your hair. Hot showers, styling tools, and dry heat are the main culprits to making your hair lackluster and lifeless. Combat the elements and your hot iron with one of our five favorite restorative hair masks. We've also thrown in a few extra "Winter Hair How To's" because we love ya.

Quickie Tips & Tricks to Restore Winter Hair:

• If you can't give up your hot showers, then at least douse your hair with cold water before you get out to smooth strands and lock in shine. Bonus – this chilly blast also helps tighten skin and close pores.

• Give your hair at least two days off per week from hot styling tools.

• Since you aren't getting as sweaty or oily as you might be in the summer, push off washing to every other, or better yet, every third day. Use a dry shampoo to zap oil and add fullness.
