Freida Pinto at the Golden Globes - Best Newcomer of the Evening

Freida Pinto, one of the stars of the critically acclaimed Slumdog Millionaire, has garnered a lot of buzz over the past couple of months -- in part, that's simply because she's an attractive female. And as we know, in our society, *cough, Paris Hilton, cough, cough,* being pretty will get you everywhere. But, surprise! Freida has actual talent, as well as a serious sense of style.
She turned heads last night at the Golden Globes in a stunning mustard yellow gown. With her hair down, Freida kept the look totally glam, yet still relaxed enough that she seemed accessible.
Who knows, Freida may end up being the hot new "it" girl of 2009. She's certainly off to a good start -- which is why we chose her as Best Newcomer of the Evening!
