Black Friday Sales - Hottest Deals
The day after Thanksgiving, also known as Black Friday, is the busiest shopping day of the year and seen as the official start to the holiday shopping season. Every year, shoppers from all over the country are roused from their tryptophan-induced slumbers in the pre-dawn hours as they hit the stores and claw their way through the sales racks. It's both terrifying and exhilarating. This year, the troubled economic climate and the soft retail forecasts make the sales and bargains better than ever. StyleList has scoured the ads and specials and we're bringing you our can't miss picks so that you can make the most out of the sale season

2008 Emmys: Worst Dressed
Filed under: Celebrity Fashion Mistakes, Red Carpet Trends

We had a blast live-blogging the Emmys last night, dishing about the good, the bad, and the ugly. There were some great looks last night -- Mary Louise Parker, Debra Messing, Olivia Wilde -- but that's no fun.
No, our favorite part of any award show is discussing the fashion disasters. Check out our gallery of "Worst Dressed" celebs and leave your thoughts in the comments!
Limited edition 90210-branded iPod Nano
Filed under: Accessories, Celebrities with Style, Daily Obsession

For us, this quintessentially describes "geek-chic": a 90210-themed iPod Nano. Gearing up for the new spin-off/recreation coming to television this fall, CBS (which owns the rights to classic 90210 and is developing the new program), the CBS Store is offering a limited edition 8 GB iPod Nano (available in a full choice of colors, including pink!) featuring the original 90210 cast (well,t he cast members that mattered anyway) laser-engraved the back. You can even customize it by adding your own name.
The iPod is $269 and limited to only 2000 players, so if you want to reminisce like it's 1993, while keeping up with the gadgetry of 2008, order now!
If you want to relive the 90210-resurrection with fashion, Junk Food has a collection of 90210 (the original series) themed tee-shirts that we think are just awesome.

Cat Deeley's sexy stilettos
Filed under: Accessories, Style in the News, Shoes, Celebrities with Style, Daily Obsession
On Thursday night's So You Think You Can Dance, we had just one thought on our mind. No, not which couple would be eliminated (I think we all saw the writing on the wall for Comfort and Thayne LAST week), our focus was squarely on the lovely Cat Deeley and her fabulous shoes.Let's talk about the shoes, which the images we grabbed from our TiVo just can't do justice. They are fantastic. They are stiletto Jimmy Choo sandals in black with gold (we think) accents. We could not find the exact shoe on Jimmy Choo's website, but this style and this style are similar.
We're in love.
Stylelist poll: Vintage Hollywood glam
Filed under: Accessories, Vintage and Retro, Celebrities with Style, Polls and Quizzes
Classic Hollywood is one of those periods that just never seems to go out of style. This season is no exception, with hairstyles, couture and accessories all taking cues from the Golden Era of movies. While we've covered some of those trends before, we haven't mentioned one of the most enduring aspects of vintage Hollywood glamor: makeup. The lighting and film stock from the '30s and '40s necessitated a special touch, well defined brows, soft or ruby red lips and eyelashes (and eye shadow!) that go on forever.
Although technology has negated the need for many of these techniques on a technical level, aesthetically, Classic Hollywood makeup is still very much en vogue. Celebrities like Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera and Scarlett Johansson are just some of the starlets from today who appreciate and like to incorporate the past in their makeup.
At the Christian Dior Fall '08 Couture show, John Galliano deftly incorporated the past and the present, and vintage makeups was evident in many of the most striking looks. So this week, our friends at Stylelist want to know, are you a fan of vintage glam makeup? Is this a trend that remains viable, or should the past stay in the past?

Stylelist Poll: Floppy hats hot or cold?
Filed under: Accessories, Clothing, Swimwear and Lingerie, Polls and Quizzes
At StyleDash, the summer months present us with a quandary of sorts: how to enjoy the sun without getting baked. Some of us (*ahem* me) will burn at the mere mention of the sun, but the rest of us worry about balancing getting some color without needlessly exposing our skin to harmful UV rays.Fortunately, fashion has offered us a helping hand via the sunhat. A big, floppy sunhat, while not always fashionable, can do a lot to block the worst of the sun, while still letting us soak up some vitamin D and enjoy the outdoors. Even better, in typical fashionista, well, fashion, big overly dramatic sunhats are becoming quite popular this season.
So our friends at Stylelist have this question for their newest weekly poll: Are you hot or cold on uber-dramatic sunhats?
We think that the right style, worn the right way, can be positively stunning -- but we'd love to know what you think. Vote in the Stylelist poll and then sound-off in the comments!
A.C. Slater is People's "hottest bachelor?"
Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style, Polls and Quizzes
So, People Magazine (which like Weblogs, Inc. is ultimately owned by Time Warner) has just decided that Mario "A.C. Slater" Lopez is their "hottest bachelor".We're, um, confused. Granted, Lopez has faired better than some of his SBTB cohorts -- though we'd rather be known as Nomi Malone than the guy that almost won Dancing With the Stars -- but hottest bachelor? Really?
Our friends at StyleList are confused too. So this week, their poll asks "Is Mario Lopez really the hottest bachelor?" Head on over and cast your vote.
Are we nuts, is Lopez really a smoking and still relevant hottie? Sound off in the comments.
