Celebrity McCain supporters - why won't they show the love?

It would be easier to find Waldo in a sea of clones than a McCain/Palin t-Shirt on the back of a fashion-forward celebrity (trust us, we looked -- and the options were slim to none!). Of course, there was Elizabeth Hasselbeck in her bright red "AmeriCaine" tee and the vocally-Republican Hollywood lovebirds Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt -- who were spotted in McCain/Palin shirts.

Sarah Palin, Amy Winehouse and Elliot Spitzer lead the pack of top ten costumes at Ricky's

Okay, so the Halloween mega-store, Ricky's NYC, isn't exactly saying that the costumes are based on these celebrities, but it doesn't take a scientist to figure it out. For example, with her stars and stripes bikini, rimless glasses, and brunette bun -- it's clear that the "Miss Alaska" costume is meant to be vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. Ditto for the jet black beehive and ultra short dress of "Rehab Queen" costume, which is obviously singer, Amy Winehouse.

Heir to Hermes fortune shows his rowdy side

Filed under: Style in the News

Just because you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth, doesn't mean you were born with manners. Case in point: 37-year-old Mathias Guerrand-Hermes, heir to the uber-luxurious Hermes empire. The "socialite" and "polo player" is charged with assaulting an Air France captain during a transatlantic flight from Paris to New York.

Want to dress your mini-me in Marc Jacobs too? Then try this online kids boutique

There are times when Baby Gap or the Children's Place simply won't do. And in those circumstances you might want to log on to WestVillageKids.com. This website stocks tons of chic brands that you'd usually find on adults, like Miss Sixty, Oil Lily and Marc Jacobs -- only here they're for tiny tots instead of mom and dad.

Fashion and function meet with the new 'Bullet-Proof Pocketsquare'

OK, so file this under things you never thought you needed -- but just might: military grade Kevlar handkerchief. The price is not available, but its purpose is obvious: to protect you from gunshot wounds at, presumably, swanky events where an elegant jacket and pocket square might be worn.

The million-dollar Louis Vuitton brief case

The brief case itself only retails for around $1,800. But it was the goodies inside that gave the product added value: $1,000,000 U.S dollars in cold, hard cash. Thats what rapper Lil Wayne got for his 26th birthday party last week at Mansion nightclub in Miami.

The cash gift was a present from his friend and mentor, fellow rapper, Baby aka Birdman. Forget living above the law, it looks like rappers are living above the economic meltdown.

Backstage at Issa with Chanel Iman and her Mom

Filed under: Events: On the Scene, Interviews, Fashion Week

Backstage at Issa, the lux London label designed by Daniella Issa Heleya, was spectacularly surrieal. One side of the room was Naomi Campbell getting make up done by the legendary artist Pat McGrath, on another was it model Jourdan Dunn getting her hair fixed by the famous Guido and on the other side was Edward Enninful, the noted Vogue stylist getting pieces ready for the show.

Pretty, punky princesses at Luella Bartley show

So what would you wear if you were an 18th century socialite with a penchant for pearls who was pulled through a time warp and landed in the 1980s? My guess would be one of the runway beauties at the Luella Bartley Spring 2009 show in London.
