Grace Jones Bonds with Her Past

At 61, Grace Jones actually looks more buff than she did at half her current age. In fact, Jones is so reminiscent of her late Seventies self, we honestly can't believe our eyes! Even her statuesque stance and penchant for wacky hats and long black gloves hasn't changed one bit.

Plus, the former Bond Girl -- Jones played villianess "May Day" in 1985's "A View to a Kill" -- opted for a noticeably higher-cut bottom than the one she wore over 30 years ago.

If that's not proof enough of her extreme body confidence (and Grace Jones is nothing if not extreme), maybe this is: The former model turned actress/singer flashed her bare backside at H&M's Matthew Williamson yacht party in NYC early last month.

Hey, if we look like that when we're her age, watch out!

Sexy Stars in their 60s

At 62 years old, Grace Jones proves that she's still got it! The statuesque singer-model-actress hit the stage last month at Shepherds Bush Empire in London, England in this killer black number to celebrate 50 years of Island Records.

63 year old Diane Keaton is known for her natural looks. But from the top up, the normally stylish star looked a little, shall we say, undone, while walking in hair rollers to the set of her new movie Morning Glory in New York City's Meatpacking District on May 27, 2009. But from the bottom up....?

From the bottom up, the former Annie Hall star looks like a woman half her age. Clad in a taupe outfit and lady like heels, she cuts a gorgeous stride -- hot rollers or not!

At Time's 100 Most Influential People in the World Gala, 63-year-old broadcasting legend Diane Sawyer dazzled on the red carpet in an off the shoulder Norma Kamali top and striped Dries Van Noten skirt.

Helen Mirren has played a royal so often that she could probably take over for a real one, but she apparently hasn't got a bit of the Queen's stuffiness. The Academy Award-winner has been everyone from a naked housewife (in "Calendar Girls") to a tough-as-nails detective (in "Prime Suspect"), and even at 63, is confident enough to walk the red carpet in this figure hugging white dress at the premiere of her new film "State of Play".

Don't call her granny, gray-haired or anything that even hints that she's something less than fab. At 69, Tina Turner still has a great growl, glorious gams and gyrations that could kill. And the singer, who shimmered in gold leggings and matching Christian Louboutin heels during her 50th Anniversary tour stop in London, is not alone. Vacationing with her husband on Saint Barths, 62-year-old Soap star Susan Lucci showed off her fabulous bod in this itsy-bitsy green bikini.

The one and only Grace Jones took to the stage at Camden's Roundhouse in London and wowed the crowed with both performance and her bod! Now 60-years-old, the former model and Andy Warhol muse still has to die for legs and a sense of style all her own.

Once the princess of punk, Debbie Harry, at 63, is now the embodiment of Baby Boom chic. Of course, no matter how (um) old she gets, the Blondie front-woman will still rock out and will never give up her signature yellow mane.

Taking a dip during her Hawaiian vacation Goldie Hawn looked sexy and much younger than her 63 years.

Birthday best wishes to Betsey Johnson, fashion icon!

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

We could kind of say that we caught it with Kristen's post on this drool-worthy ring, but really, we almost missed the 30th anniversary of the launch of the Bestey Johnson fashion label.

Betsey and her business partner and CEO Chantal Bacon had a big bash last Friday to celebrate their long and successful collaboration, which officially started on Betsey's birthday, August 10, 1978.

She and Madonna pretty much defined style in the 80s and her signature look is just as fun and popular today as it was 30 years ago, with embellished skulls, ruffles and bright colors. To celebrate her anniversary and because of popular demand (the best reason, right?) this fall will see the release of the Betsey Johnson Vintage Collection.
