Many designers pulled from the '80s for recent runway inspiration – Balmain, Chanel, and Pucci included. All of the mesh, gloves, sequins, tulle, corsets, and studded leather come directly from the garish decade; a time when a drugged up Madonna, Flock of Seagulls haircuts, and hydra glow t-shirts ruled the world.Continue reading Be A Material Girl All Over Again - Tip of the Day!

So, about Drew Barrymore's new look ... We had a hard time with her blonde "Josie Grossie" Golden Globes 'do. But after some thought, we remembered that Drew is a complete '80s child at heart. And with the recent resurgence of the '80s in fashion, we realized she's just reliving those glory days with the hair, poufy prom dresses and whatnot. We think it's sort of endearing and no matter what, she's always the cutest!Filed under: Get the Look

According to the Glamour Fashion Blog (and apparently Parisian women), neon colors are back -- specifically acid green. I don't know about you, but I remember this trend from the first time around. Fortunately, at that point, I was tan, blonde, thin ... and a kid, and therefore I didn't really care about whether it was flattering. I only cared that it was cool.Continue reading How to wear neon (because it's like, totally back)

It looks like we are in for another season of cowboy boots. Fall fashion catalogs still seem to be pushing the trend. But something more heinous is on the horizon. The scrunch boot is back. The scrunch boot was part of the scrunch fever of the 1980s where everything had to be pushed up or pulled down in some casual artless way. They've been slowly making their way back into fashion for a while but with the return of the legging it seemed inevitable that the scrunch boot would reach new levels of prominence. The scrunch is about as foot flattering as the Ugg. The python-embossed boots from Guiseppe Zanotti sell for $1745 and can be worn to the knee or in full scrunch mode. I'm not wild about them when they are scrunched down but they are a bit fabulous when fully pulled up to show off the python design.Threesome or topless?
