Erin Wasson in Nina Ricci - I Want That!

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Get the Look

Erin WassonWe think Erin Wasson is preparing to take over the world. First, she was splashed all over fashion mags with pal Alexander Wang, helping him style his first, breakout collection. Next, in our latest Victoria's Secret catalog, Erin seemed to be the model d'jour. And now, we're pretty sure she's taking Kate Moss on for the title of coolest supermodel to walk the earth. Although it sort of looks like she forgot her pants.

Alexander Wang scores CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund prize

Filed under: Style in the News

As we first predicted a couple of months, designer Alexander Wang would win the 2008 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund prize even though the competition was fairly steep this year.

Tip of the Day: Sweating is in. Thanks Alexander Wang!

Filed under: Cosmetics, Fashion Week, Style Tip of the Day, Beauty Tips

(When designers go too far - click the photo to see the raciest runway pics!)

One of the few makeup trends that really caught our eye was the "sweaty" faces at Alexander Wang.

While we often get this look by, well, sweating like pigs, Shiseido makeup artist Dick Page made the models look sexy sweaty instead of gross sweaty.

"There's a lot of heat on the cheek and bridge of the nose," describes Dick Page, Shiseido's Makeup Artistic Director. "I want them to look overheated." You don't get more right on than that on a hot, humid NY day.

Since it is not about precision, the look is surprisingly easy to achieve. Page used different colors of cream blush across the middle of each models face in lieu of skin prep (foundations, concealers, etc). Next he added his new Pink Mesa lipstick with a dab of gloss in the middle of the lip. For eyes he added "murky weight" with smudged black cream liner. Just before the models hit the stage, Page covered their faces with a squirt of water. Simple right?

So next time you come out of the gym don't think "Ew! I'm so gross!" think "Ahh! I'm so Alexander Wang!"

I want that! Alexander Wang Goddess Dress

Filed under: Clothing, Dresses, Celebrities with Style, Get the Look

The Alexander Wang Goddess Dress was recently worn by two of young Hollywood's prettiest ladies – Lauren Conrad at her premiere for the "The Hills" third season and Megan Fox at a "Transformers" press conference in Seoul.

While Conrad went girl next door accessorizing with a delicate gold chain and round pumps, Megan Fox went bad girl, pairing her dress with gray ankle strap shoes and lots of tats. Wonder where her other tatty's are hiding beneath the Wang?

Looking super excited to be there too, Audrina Patridge is wearing Bebe.

Alexander Wang and crew for Uniqlo

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing

Today, WWD reports Uniqlo -- the Japanese version of American Apparel -- has enlisted Alexander Wang, Tim Hamilton, Loden Dager, and Juliana Jabur to design capsule collections for the brand's Young Designer's Invitation Project -- which supports new talent.

Uniqlo will release each designer's collection in the upcoming months with Jabur's pieces set to drop first at the end of this month, followed by Alexander Wang's color-block dresses and Loden Dager's menswear separates in May.

Each collection will consist of eight looks ranging in prices from $29 to $79.

Can anybody say awesome?

I'm all for affordable fashion -- especially when Alexander Wang is involved. I wonder if his muse/best friend/ stylist Erin Wasson helped create any of the pieces?

Either way, it's going to be amazing.
