The CMT Awards best and worst dressed

The Annual CMT Awards brought out a surprising variety of celebrities for their show this year. And as usual, it seems most country singers did not consult their stylist before hitting up the red carpet. There some hits, and a whole lot of misses. Click through the gallery to see what we think of what some of Nashville's finest wore for the big event.

Carrie Underwood is the sexiest vegetarian (again)

People for the Ethical Treatment of animals announced on Tuesday that singer Carrie Underwood and Tonight Show band leader Kevin Eubanks have won the annual "Sexiest Vegetarian" award.

Strangely, Eubanks' win over his competitors Milo Ventimiglia, Jared Leto and Joaquin Phoenix has been credited to the campaigning efforts of Jay Leno, who urged his viewers to vote for the band man while holding a "undoctored" shirtless picture of him. (Who knew Jay Leno held such sway?)

Past "Sexiest Vegetarians" include: Prince, Natalie Portman, Andre 3000, Coldplay's Chris Martin, Shania Twain, Tobey Maguire, Lauren Bush, Josh Hartnett and Alicia Silverstone.

Carrie Underwood to be dressed in diamonds

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Dresses, Celebrities with Style

Diamonds are a girl's best friend, or so the saying goes. Well, if there's even a grain of truth to the old adage, then American Idol winner and country music star Carrie Underwood is one popular girl.

Kwiat Diamonds and designer David Rodriguez have joined creative forces in order to create an $850,000 custom gown, which will have over 400 individual Kwiat diamonds on each strap, and will be worn by Underwood at tonight's 40th annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, Tennessee.

After tonight's unveiling, the gown will be auctioned off at gottahaveit.com, with the proceeds going to various charities, including The Make-A-Wish Foundation. The online auction will begin on November 29 and will run until December 6.
