StyleList Is...Sleepy and Sweet

We're watching: Madonna at Madison Square Garden
We're wearing: Mesh. Lots of mesh.
We're eating: New York City pretzels

We're thinking: Maybe if we post about her every day someone will call us with backstage passes
Not over it: Courtney Love lied about her fat band

Courtney Love's a liar! (Shocking, we know)

Let's start off by all agreeing that Courtney Love is a mess. She just is. And when she dropped a tremendous amount of weight in a very short time, we didn't believe her for a second when she said it was through a strict diet. Puh-lease -- a strict diet takes self control and restraint, which are qualities we know Courtney just doesn't have, so we've always assumed she had some sort of medical assistance.

Frances Cobain for Chanel, maybe

Filed under: Style in the News

Earlier this year, media stories from the UK suggested that Gisele Bundchen was creating a $200 million diffusion line with Dolce & Gabbana and Katie Holmes was creating three outstanding collections for Giorgio Armani.

Both reports ended up being completely false. So, we're aren't going to hold our breath on this most recent extraordinary story from UK.

For a few months now, rumors have been flying around the Internet that Frances Cobain -- the daughter of the late Kurt Cobain, frontman for Nirvana -- would be the next Chanel campaign girl.

Worst dressed celebrities of the year

InTouch did a reader poll to find out which female celebrity deserves the title of Worst Fashion Offender of the year. Obviously the Olsen twins won. Is anyone really surprised by that?

But, there were a few shockers too. Victoria Beckham was on the list. Personally, I think she dresses well. Her style isn't all that original, but it's certainly not bad enough to be considered offensive!

Anyways, the rundown goes like this: Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Courtney Love, Sharon Stone, Victoria Beckham, Tilda Swinton, Lindsay Lohan, Amy Winehouse. Let's discuss.

Courtney Love and Sharon Stone are basically permanent hot messes. All in favor of their placement on the list say, "Ay." AY!!!!

Lindsay Lohan has long since worn out the welcome of leggings as part of fashion. They were cute for about a minute, when properly placed underneath long tunic tops or short dresses -- not as pants.

Amy Winehouse constantly looks dirty and drugged, so I think it's safe to say she probably doesn't even realize what she's wearing half the time. I feel like we can't hold her responsible for the horrible fashion choices she has made.

Tilda Swinton isn't enough of a Hollywood player to be on this list (and I do mean fashion wise, because I realize she's an amazing actress). Sure, her Oscar dress was bad. Really bad. But, aside from that can you actually remember any other outfit she's worn to any other event? I doubt it.

The choice of Victoria Beckham totally confuses me, but I already said that. And, as for the Olsen twins, love 'em or hate 'em, they always keep people in the fashion world talking.

Do you disagree or agree with the women on this list?

Courtney Love too stinky to launch personal fragrance

Filed under: Fragrance, Celebrities with Style

Courtney Love StinksClose your eyes, and think about what Courtney Love probably smells like. Gross, right?

Fortunately, for every living creature capable of detecting scent, Courtney is aware that we're afraid of her odor. In fact, that's exactly why the former Hole front woman is hesitant to launch her own fragrance. (Plus, her reputation for getting into trouble and being generally obnoxious probably wouldn't help sales any.)

But beware: the idea is under consideration. Apparently, Love has been "reading a lot of books and attending a lot of marketing conferences," as she tries to decide whether or not to unleash Eau Du Stinky Former Rock Star on the general public.

I dread the day this dream of Courtney's becomes a reality.

Courtney Love to be even more surgically "enhanced"

Filed under: Cosmetics, Celebrities with Style

Is there anything real about this face?Courtney Love, the celebrity who somehow remains in the public eye even though she hasn't done anything cool since the 90s, most-recently grabbed attention by losing about 8,000 pounds. However, rumor has it that she'll be modifying her appearance yet again -- this time with more plastic surgery.

Apparently the last time Love underwent surgery on her face (which, rumor has it, was earlier this month), it didn't go according to plan. The ex-rocker thinks her mouth looks "wonky," so she'll soon be jaunting off to Paris to see a doctor that "fixes bad surgery."

The trainwreck reportedly wants to get back to her original appearance, which may be difficult, seeing as no one has any idea what she actually looks like.

Courtney Love hit by counterfeit smackdown

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

If fake handbags had a motto, it would probably be something like, "Look like a celebrity for less." But how do counterfeit goods look on a celebrity? Pretty dumb -- just ask Courtney Love if you don't believe me.

Love recently infuriated the folks at Chanel when she was photographed wearing an a bib-front dress to Paris Hilton's birthday party that was the spitting image of the fashion house's look No. 20 from the January Couture show in Paris. According to WWD, the only sample of the dress hangs in Paris, having never been lent to Love.

Karl Lagerfeld is furious, and the company plans to launch a full investigation before deciding whether or not to take legal action against the singer.

I don't know about you, but this story makes me think twice about showing up at Paris Hilton's birthday party in designer knock-offs!

Courtney Love's Style Resolutions

Filed under: Holiday Style, Celebrities with Style

For the past few weeks, we've heard a lot about New Year's Resolutions. If you can stand the thought of one more paean to the Babylonian tradition of resolutions, I wanted to share a few of Courtney Love's personal style resolutions.

* Try this "thin" anthropoligical [sic] experiment -- get to my goal weight healthily [sic] and stay there
* No more surgery for any reason other than medical until i really need it in my 60s

Like all things Courtney Love, you can either complain about her or accept her for the hot mess that she is. If you can do the latter, these resolutions seem almost sincere and thoughtful. I mean, if I were a drug addict rocker and mother, I would probably have said the very same thing, especially the part about the resolution to engage in no more plastic surgery.

Any chance you could convince Jack Nicholson and Bob Dole to follow suit? Those guys are starting to creep me out.
