John Malkovich is one of the defining male actors of the 20th century -- creating riveting characters on both stage and screen over a career of inspired performances.
But he's not a good fashion designer, apparently.
Or, at least, he isn't willing to stick it out to see where the fashion business could take him. After only 4 years, the star
has abandoned his clothing line,
Mrs. Mudd, vowing to instead focus solely on his acting career.
To be honest, I didn't even know Malkovich had designed a collection in the first place (and maybe this is part of the problem), but after hearing the news I checked out the website, and it's not half bad. It's nothing mind-blowing, nor is it really my style, but the clothing is original, sophisticated and interesting. Imagine if J. Crew didn't suck, and you'll have the right image.
If it seems like your thing,
head to the website quick! Sounds like these items won't be around for much longer.
