Mango collaborates with Adam Lippes

Filed under: Style in the News

Out of all of the fast fashion mega chains that we wax lyrical about on a daily basis, Mango, undoubtedly would be the one that we show the least amount of love to.

Topshop's American debut delayed

And sometimes, things are just too good to be true.

For months, we've been celebrating and hyping Topshop's arrival in New York this fall. Finally, after months of checking via the fast fashion mecca's e-commerce site, we were going to be able to buy harlequin skirts and vintage denim shorts in person.

But alas, this will not be happening -- or at least not next month.

WWD reports
there has been a bit of a set back in the construction of the massive 40,000 square foot site, and as a result, Topshop will not be opening at 478 Broadway until November. Bummer.

However, don't go crying just yet. Today, the retailer launched a US version of its e-commerce, which means you won't have to pay extra for international shipping! So yeah, go shopping. Now.

Sneak Peak: Jonathan Saunders for Target

A couple of months ago, Jonathan Saunders dropped a collection of a t-shirts over at Topshop.

They were semi-cute. They were tributes to all of his previous ready-to-wear collections. They were strange because we were hoping for a cute streamlined ombre dress that costs a fraction of the price of Saunders coveted piece.

But our dreams of beautifully made duds with cheap prices by Jonathan Saunders aren't dead just yet: this month the proud Irish man will be serving up a very affordable collection for everyone's favorite mass retailer, Target.

The mini line consists of whimsical ombre dresses, body-hugging knits, and slew of funky cool tunics.

All styles will be available at Target and online in October.

Topshop comes to the United States....eventually.

Bloody hell! Topshop, the English fast-fashion company, is delaying the opening of their New York City store by one more month. After anxiously awaiting the retailer's first stateside location, this news kinda has me feeling like the girl on the left side of that picture. The store, which is going to be 40,000 square feet (!) and four-stories tall, apparently will take more time to build than planned. It will now open in November, rather than October.

In the meantime, though, Topshop will launch a U.S.-specific online shop on September 9. That happens to be the day model/designer Kate Moss' latest collection for the company debuts. (If you're one of the first 2,000 visitors to drop more than $50 that morning, you'll snag a free Kate Moss charity t-shirt.)

While the U.K. site started shipping to America about a year ago, the rates aren't cheap. And the biggest advantage to using the American site? The fact that there will be no more need to make the depressing mental conversions from pounds to dollars while you shop.

Danielle Scutt for Topshop

Five months until Topshop opens in New York and the UK retailer teases us with another cool designer collaboration that we'll only be able to buy on its online store.

Cruel and unusual indeed.

Blood, sweat, and t-shirts

We've all seen Chris Hansen expose perverts, thieves, and con men on Dateline. And since Tyra Banks' addictive model show hit the air, we all can say we know a little something about the modeling industry i.e., never go on America's Next Top Model if you want to have a chance at a legitimate career.

Topshop: A date has been set

Filed under: Style in the News

After a few months of paying ridiculous shipping charges for adorable plaid blouses and tops covered in stars from across the pond, the UK's prized fast fashion chain Topshop will be opening its doors stateside on October 15th.

Everyone: Awesome!

Located at 478 Broadway in SoHo, the flagship will stay true to its British roots. Sir Philip Green -- owner of the company -- says that the stores will not be receiving any sort of an "American twist."
