We are always dishing out info on how to flatter your own figure. Which is totally awesome. But what about those universally flattering cuts, colors, and shapes? The ones that, no matter who you are or what your body type, you just can't get wrong. 
Regardless of what your body type is, we're confident that one of the easiest ways to update your wardrobe is by adding a fabulous belt. The added benefit is that, generally speaking, cinching a belt around your waist is a great way to accentuate your shape (or create the shape you wish you had).
During the winter months, many of us put on a couple of extra pounds. Between the holidays and the way those thick, creamy soups warm us up on cold winter nights, gaining an inch or two is practically inevitable. And raise your hand if those inches always (always!) end up on your hips and thighs.
Right now, it seems like everybody's dealing with cold weather, so even though we're just dying to start shopping for spring styles, we can't quite bear to bare our arms. Which might be why we're so very happy that cardigans are so stylish this season.
Adding a belt to a dress is a quick, easy, and fashionable way to change the silhouette. It's also a good way to introduce different colors and textures. And, anything that offers that much bang for our buck in the world of fashion is a big winner with us!

Feeling self-conscious about your body? Maybe you ate a little more pumpkin pie than your pants will accommodate this Thanksgiving, or perhaps you just have a hard time appreciating your curves in general. It's okay -- even though we're sure you look positively gorgeous, we understand not wanting to accentuate something that makes you uncomfortable.
Now that the holidays are here, chances are good that you're going to be doing a little traveling. Maybe it's just for a day or two, or perhaps you're taking advantage of the kids being out of school and are getting out of town for a week or two. In some parts of the country, it's turning pleasantly cool, while in other areas, it's just flat out freezing. And while the cold weather might not bode well for those killer peep toe stilettos (unless you're very, very brave and have an uncanny knack for balancing on icy sidewalks), there is a warm, fuzzy lining -- you get to wear sweaters!
If you're top heavy -- we mean truly top heavy, not just a little busty -- you probably already know how important it is to try to make your body look proportional, which can be hard with the heavy fabrics and boxy cuts of some fall fashions. The last thing in the world you want to do is add bulk to your upper half, right? You don't want to look like you're about to tip over!
You can wear the most gorgeous dress, or put together the most flattering jeans and top, but so many people make a mistake when it comes to the last accessory they put on -- their shoes. You might not realize it, but the wrong shoes can take you from looking long and lean to appearing short and stumpy.
