Calvin Klein's Francisco Costa on Vulgarity, Tom Ford, and Recession Fashion

Calvin Klein's creative director Francisco Costa is no stranger to sexy bodies – he does work with the world's top models after all – but there is a limit to how much skin he cares to see. "I mean, I go to Brazil and everybody is showing their bellies," said the designer at a discussion held at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology last week. "I feel it's really vulgar. If everyone had a beautiful belly, maybe it'd be a different story. If you have beautiful knees, show your knees. I'm not a puritan. I love skin."

After the jump: More of Francisco's discussion with F.I.T.'s Valerie Steele and an exclusive Q&A with Stylelist.com.

Project Runway guest judges revealed!

Filed under: Style in the News

Yes, boy and girls. Project Runway makes its triumphant return back to television this Wednesday night. Everyone: Yay!

While we'll all have to wait patiantly each week to see what kind of crazy shenanigans our beloved contestants will find themselves in this cycle, the people over at Bravo have already spilled the beans as to who is guest judging this season.

Cynthia Rowley, LL Cool J, RuPaul, Rachel Zoe, Francisco Costa, Brooke Shields, Diane Von Furstenberg, Sandra Bernhard, Apolo Ohno will all ham it up with Michael Kors, Heidi Klum, and Nina Garcia this season.

We imagine Francisco will teach the PYT about chic minimalistic design and Rachel Zoe will emphasize the importance of berry-colored nail polish and over-sized sunglasses. But who we really want to hear from is RuPaul. The episode that features him is going to be all sorts of fabulous and over-the-top, no? We can't wait!
