Drugstore Beauty Queen: V05 Hot Oil

Filed under: Hair Care, Steals and Deals

After writing yesterday's post on Frederic Fekkai's $15 winter hair treatment, I starting thinking that while $15 was cheap for Fekkai products, it wasn't exactly cheap objectively speaking. If you are looking for a cheap objectively speaking way to treat hair that has been damaged by high winds, cold temperatures and dry indoor heating, there is no better bang for your buck than Alberto V05 hot oil treatments.

The golden Vitamin E liquid comes in the small plastic tube that heats up in a glass full of hot water. After evenly distributing the solution through wet hair, wait for one minute before washing it out in the shower. As far as hair treatments go, one minute seems like a very small investment for a major return, not to mention the delightfully low price point of $2 per treatment.

When used regularly, the V05 hot oil treatment tackles frizz, fly aways and chronic breakage due to all sorts of factors, from winter weather to salon over-processing.
