This week: single ladies, loser-user-tools (yeah, that one is Mayer) and charming lisps!

Jennifer Aniston in Valentino - I Want That!

Jennifer AnistonOh you knew Jennifer Aniston wasn't going to show up at the premiere of her latest movie, Marley & Me, looking any less than stunning. Her racy, lacy Valentino mini dress showed off her tanned, toned legs and arms while her sun-kissed skin and long, luminous hair added a youthful glow. Also, all the sex with John Mayer probably helps (yeah we said it).

Tim Gunn: Jennifer Aniston "dresses desperate"

Filed under: Clothing, Celebrities with Style, Celebrity Fashion Mistakes

We're pretty solidly Team Aniston, but are even more solidly Team Gunn. So we must agree with Tim's assessment of Jen's post-Idiot (Mayer The Player gag) wardrobe. Oh, we still think she looks miles better without that ass, but when a style expert like Tim speaks out, we defer. Oh yes, we defer.

In Tim's learned opinion, lately Jen's wardrobe is unintentionally giving out the message that she is a "desperate character." While hanging with Project Runway Season 3 finalist Laura Bennett at the launch party for Tide and Downy Total Care, Tim told OK! Magazine that "She's a gorgeous woman," who "understands her fashion" so there is hope for her to rebound.

Tim is less kind about Miley Cyrus, who he said looks tarty and dresses too old for her 15 years. And he said, quite rightly, that Katie Holmes is looking like dowdy European royalty.

Sigh. We need this kindly but blunt voice of reason. Season two of Tim Gunn's Guide to Style cannot get here soon enough for us!

Jennifer Aniston looks awesome after losing 170 lbs of idiot

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

The gossip rags are saying that the May-December romance of the century, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer, is over. So soon? But they didn't even have a cute name yet!

Actually we are delighted for Jen, especially since People reports that she looks better than ever. John Mayer is such a tool, and he's had an insidious effect on the style of previous girlfriends, most notably Jessica Simpson.

I want that! Missoni dress

Beautiful actress Minka Kelly is probably best known for her role as Lyla Garrity on the television show Friday Night Light and for her fling with musician John Mayer. Interestingly, she is also the only child of former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay. If you don't know, now you know! But back to her style.

Here Minka strolls the red carpet at the NBC Universal 2008 Press Tour All-Star Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on July 20 in an absolutely stunning Missoni maxi dress. We love how Minka lets the nude number speak for itself and keeps her hair and jewelry simple and sophisticated. Quite possibly one of our summertime favorites thus far.

Jennifer Aniston spends $20,000 a month on her beauty routine

Next time you feel crappy about yourself because you don't measure up to Hollywood types, remember this: in addition to the hundreds of thousands of dollars a year celebrities spend on clothing, some rack up huge beauty bills -- like Jennifer Aniston, who drops $20,000 a month just to look good.

Now that the former Friends star is engaged to a John Mayer, she's working hard to keep up with the younger competition. Take a look at her biggest budget breakers:
  • Personal training and private yoga instruction: $3,000
  • Private chef who prepares organic, high-protein, low-fat meals: $3,500
  • "Anti-cellulite spa sculpting" treatments: $1,000 per session
Holy crap. That's more than most people spend in a month -- on everything (mortgages, car payments, college tuition, blah blah blah). No wonder Jen looks so great!

John Mayer experiences the magic of a good haircut

Filed under: Men, Hair Care, Celebrities with Style

Musician John Mayer has always sported the messy singer-songwriter look. You know what I'm talking about... Shaggy hair, pasty face, sloppy shirts. However, the gossip blogosphere has recently exploded with pictures of Mayer's new clean-cut look. I must say, it's a huge upgrade. Really, the only big change was a sweet haircut, but look at what a difference it has made! It's amazing what such a minor change can do.

It looks like Mayer is on his way to a cooler, more sophisticated look. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for his increasingly orange Muppet girlfriend, Jessica Simpson.
