Kate Moss

Booties, like gladiators, are a shoe trend that just won't seem to go away. At first it was like a pesky fly we tried to swat away but over time, we've grown fond of the buzz that these funky, ankle hugging shoes have created.

You've just gotta use a little fashion know how. Or copy Kate. Either way.

Kate Moss to co-chair the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala

Filed under: Style in the News

If loving Kate Moss is wrong, we don't want to be right ya'll. Yes, we rightfully rag on her when she does silly things like getting arrested for cocaine possession and picks up another loser boyfriend. And sure, we think it's weird that she still acts like she's seventeen and subsequently dresses as such. But it's only because she's been our model crush since the 90s and we only want the best for our girl Kate.

Get dressed like Kate Moss

Filed under: Clothing, Celebrities with Style

One would imagine that choosing an outfit would be difficult for Kate Moss. Not that she wouldn't look pretty fabulous in absolutely anything, because she would, of course. But, can you imagine her closet? It would take us all day to choose from all those choices, but not Kate.

Kate Moss: The Movie; Would you watch?

Filed under: Style in the News

After a couple of stints in rehab, courting a few rebel boyfriends, and gracing the cover of thousands of fashion magazines, someone wants to make a film about the life fashion's ultimate bad girl, of supermodel Kate Moss.

The movie team behind Forgetting Sarah Marshall are rumored to be whipping up a script about the fashion wild child as I type, which means they're probably doing a lot of research for the fashion flick on sites like Perez Hilton and other gossip blogs since the Queen B rarely ever gives interviews.

No word when the movie will see the light of day, but we're almost certain it's going to be all sorts of amazing when it does. Our fingers are crossed!

Kate Moss' lipstick self-portrait finally sells

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Weird art and Kate Moss seem to go together like supermodels and Diet Coke. We already told you about the golden crotch-shot statue (currently on display at the British Museum), and now we've got something just as unusual, if not worth quite as much -- a self-portrait of the supermodel, drawn in lipstick.

Actually, it's kind of fitting that a model would use makeup as her medium, now that we think about it. Kate drew the portrait while still with her mess of a man, Pete Doherty. Apparently Pete sold the portrait, which he inscribed with "Who needs blood when you've got lipstick?" after the break up, and now that buyer has sold it privately for £33,600.

Kate Moss' gold crotch shot statue

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Kate Moss' modeling career has obviously taught her to strike a pose, but this ... this is just nuts. Sculptor Marc Quinn has created a golden Kate Moss statue, which in theory isn't all that strange. It's the pose that scorches our corneas.

Really, where is your eye drawn when looking at the statue? Her face? Her legs? Or perhaps something a bit lower? Because, totally against our will, we keep on looking at her uncomfortably highly-detailed crotch. And while some people might not be opposed to that, trust us -- it's not our style.

Kate Moss devastated over breakup with another slimy guy

Yes, supermodels have feelings too. Kate Moss is said to be absolutely "gutted," over her breakup with Jamie Hince. While he was a step up from Pete Doherty who makes art with blood and abuses animals, we still say, goodbye and good riddance.

Meet the models

They are everywhere -- magazines, television, and events. And after being bombarded with images of fashion week, we've begun to wonder – who are the girls in the clothes?

Now we have heard designers say that models are just "hangers," implying that they are otherwise meaningless and Iman stating much of the same, "human hangers" with no personality. But we beg to differ. There are a handful of bright young things that are on verge becoming the next Kate's, Gisele's and Naomi's.

Let's take a closer look and start putting names to those beautiful faces.

WSJ shows off its new glossy

Filed under: Style in the News

Guess who wants to flaunt their new lifestyle mag in our faces? The Wall Street Journal! But don't lose your minds just yet, darlings.

According to WWD, the glossy publication really itsn't much to write home about. In fact, most of the "exclusive" stories featured inside of the issue have already been, well, reported:

"While the paper's new magazine WSJ has an interview with Republican vice presidential nominee Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin, the story is about her workout regime and doesn't mention her as a candidate. Then there's a story on Kate Moss and Sir Philip Green - but Moss gave the real scoop about her growing business empire to last month's Vogue. And a story on the America's Cup battle between Oracle's Larry Ellison and Ernesto Bertarelli was extensively covered in Sunday's New York Times."

Meanwhile, the cover of the WSJ magazine is fairly interesting -- it features IMG's Diana Dondoe wrapped in a dress made of out of Wall Street Journal newspapers. In this clip, watch as someone tries to be excited about the new mag.

Topshop comes to the United States....eventually.

Filed under: Stores We Love, Style in the News

Bloody hell! Topshop, the English fast-fashion company, is delaying the opening of their New York City store by one more month. After anxiously awaiting the retailer's first stateside location, this news kinda has me feeling like the girl on the left side of that picture. The store, which is going to be 40,000 square feet (!) and four-stories tall, apparently will take more time to build than planned. It will now open in November, rather than October.

In the meantime, though, Topshop will launch a U.S.-specific online shop on September 9. That happens to be the day model/designer Kate Moss' latest collection for the company debuts. (If you're one of the first 2,000 visitors to drop more than $50 that morning, you'll snag a free Kate Moss charity t-shirt.)

While the U.K. site started shipping to America about a year ago, the rates aren't cheap. And the biggest advantage to using the American site? The fact that there will be no more need to make the depressing mental conversions from pounds to dollars while you shop.
