Living in a city full of young working men and women who love to work on-the-go, I'm constantly observing the way these folks carry all their necessities, and more specifically, their laptops.
The latest style is to be a bit more casual with a messenger bag, while some stick with the usual black or brown briefcase, which is common for both genders. And there are even some who throw their portable workstations into a standard backpack (way too risky, I'd say!). Aren't these traditional options functional? Yes. So, what's the problem, Nic?
They're boring! It's time to spice it up, per se. I did a little browsing and found a few options that I'm looking into myself.
Kolobags is a company that sells all sorts of bags "for men and women with style," but their notebook cases are what we're after.
This bag I recommend for the guys -- with a "faux croc" black material, it looks sleek and is definitely functional. And for the girls, this
Kipling bag -- it's suntan and black, neutral but uncommon colors for this type of bag; it's got tons of pockets, and more importantly comes with a Kipling monkey key chain.
If you just can't stand being a little more adventurous, then I suggest the plain but highly regarded bags over at
LowePro.
