So we've heard about the Lipstick Effect, thanks to the underwhelming economy, but what about the Cheeker Cause? So what if we just made it up – no girl should forgo rosy cheeks this winter just because of a little money crisis!

Leighton Meester is really blossoming into something of a fashionistas these days. Her outfits are consistently on best dressed lists, almost daily, and this Calvin Klein number is no different. Anyone that can make a dress and a blazer combo look fresh deserves top honors in our opinion!

Stylish actress Blake Lively brought her fashionable mother to the Michael Kors show during New York's fashion week. While they both looked equally glam, we'd have to say that Blake's contemporary take on a Mod shift dress stole the show.

Simply accessorized with a black exotic skin clutch and black strappy heels, Blake knew that she just had to let that dazzling dress shine.

In true Diane von Fursteberg fashion, the show was a mix of everything a fashionable, jet set gal needs – flared denim, flirty dresses, floaty tunics, and sweet accessories. And of course, DVF's signature prints were present in all of the looks; this year taking on the forms of butterflies, stars, tribal and art deco. Though the designer says that the DVF girl is a "rock goddess" this year, Style.com might've said it better when they said she is a "breezy, flower child."

The mostly dress collection was completely phenomenal but the most notable feature on the runway was the models headpieces. Feathers, fringe, and beading adorned long loose hair while Twiggy-esque makeup added to the easy 60's feel of the collection.

To keep the looks modern, the Diane added in some trends du jour – plenty of sparkle, shimmer, transparency, and belts.

We're totally feeling everything about this collection and apparently so are celebs like Eva Longoria and Leighton Meester! The DVF show was one of the most star studded of the week.

The ladies of Gossip Girl undoubtedly have plenty of access to fabulous clothing and all the latest trends, but we love the way Leighton Meester mixes the hot and the new with classically flattering, proven looks. And, she finds a great balance between looking young and fresh while still coming across as ladylike, a concept much of young Hollywood has yet to grasp.

We knew Diane von Furstenberg was popular with celebs, but we had no idea that she'd even manage to bring the infamous J-Lo out of hiding. And, Jennifer Lopez was just one amongst many starlets to grace the designer's show with her presence.

The Gossip Girl's certainly did their thing at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards. While Blake went short and flirty, Leighton went long and elegant and boy did her choice pay off. She looked absolutely stunning in her emerald green draped Lanvin dress. Though it's cliché to say – goddess anyone?

The belt and platform peep toes kept the look modern and youthful.

We feel as though we should be bowing her Leighton's presence or applauding opera style – brava Leighton, brava!
