
I don't know why nobody wants to look at People magazine's exclusive photos of Christina Aguilera and her baby. Maybe the thought of Xtina having a baby is just plain disturbing. For whatever reason, the NY Post is reporting that the baby pictures issue is on track
to sell a measly 1.3 million copies -- an average issues sells 1.4 million.
It seems like a pretty crappy return on an investment of $1.5 million, but People's Managing Editor said he'd "do the deal again in a minute." Do notice that he said
minute -- not a heartbeat -- and a minute is a
lot longer than a heartbeat. Still, you'd think that Aguilera w/child pics would be enough to keep sales from dropping.
Oh well, at least People jumped at the chance to exploit a fading pop star -- they really can't be blamed for the poor sales. Maybe
Nicole Richie's baby pics will fly off the shelf.
