Top 5 - 2009 Golden Globe Trends

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Red Carpet Trends

Cameron DiazThe 2009 Golden Globes red carpet was impressive to say the least. There was such much yin and yang, so much going on – to color or not to color, that was the question – that it has left us with a warm, fuzzy tingle long after the carpet was over. So after all was said and done, what did the Globes tell us about up and coming trends? Let's find out!

Mickey Rourke at the Golden Globes - StyleFoul Honorable Mention

Filed under: Celebrity Fashion Mistakes, Red Carpet Trends

We believe our friend Alisyn best summed up the style paradox that is Mickey Rourke when she exclaimed, "He has a porn 'stache, dead teeth and a manicure!"

Angelina Jolie, Evan Rachel Wood and Rumer Willis Show Us How to Wear/Not Wear Neutrals

Angelina Jolie at the Critic's Choice AwardsNeutrals can be really absurdly hard to pull off. You slip into the wrong shade of beige and all of a sudden you find yourself so washed out that your boss is telling you to take a sick day. Or you wear the wrong makeup and accessories with a neutral dress and you end up blending right into the wall at a party. But, in the past several days a few celebs have shown us the right -- and terribly wrong -- ways to wear neutrals.

Ashton Kutcher at The House Bunny premiere - StyleFoul!

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Celebrity Fashion Mistakes

Oh, Ashton Kutcher, you perplex us. We love that you like a little bit of quirky fashion (although we're still a little upset about the trucker hat). And we smile at the fact that sometimes you play up the fact that Demi is totally robbing the cradle with you, but, when you attend the premiere of your stepdaughter's first big movie, do you really need to look like a teenager crashing the party? Even going so far as to openly ogle your date's (admittedly fabulous) ass?

We would have given you a pass on the striped shirt under the jacket. Yes, it's a little goofy, but you are at the premiere of The House Bunny, after all -- goofiness is practically required. In fact, we even kind of like it. The shoes, however, are a different matter.

Stylish celebrity offspring

Celebrity kids have it made in the shade -- or really rough -- depending on how you look at it. On one hand, doors open for them just because they have famous parents. On the other hand, they have a lot to live up to and often struggle coming out from under their mom or dad's shadow. But, in a few cases, some celebrity offspring have managed to become instant style icons.

Prada presents "Trembled Blossoms"

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Miuccia Prada has been all about the multimedia experiments over the past couple of years. Trembled Blossoms is her latest product. The short film -- 4 minutes in length, to be exact -- was presented during L.A. Fashion Week. It had previously been shown during New York Fashion Week.

The film is considered to be a "classic animated cartoon, supported by modern techniques." It was directed by James Lima.

Of course, all of Hollywood was there to see the grand debut. When a big fashion name comes knocking on L.A.'s door, you don't say no. Otherwise the most exciting thing you'll see at L.A. Fashion Week is Lauren Conrad's new collection. Woohoo.

Anyways, L.A.'s finest came out for the night and they were definitely dressed to impress. To see some of the hits and misses of the evening click through the gallery. But, first a warning. There were a few great outfits, but mostly, just a whole lot of crazy. Be prepared.

Demi Moore vs Rumer Willis: Who looks better?

Aw, poor Rumer Willis. She keeps trying to break into young Hollywood -- partying underage, dishing out (totally lame) fashion advice, and schlepping out to marginally interesting industry events. But yet she can't quite seem to keep up with Paris, LiLo and the rest of the gang.

Maybe it's because she's consistently outdone on the red carpet by her 50-year-old mother.

Take this photo, shot at the 1st Hollywood Domino Tournament. Rumer doesn't look bad, but still pales in comparison to her smoking hot mom. I can only imagine what the beleaguered teen is thinking, trying to look poised while her Demi gets all the glory. I bet it's something like this:

Rumer's brain: She's old. Look at me! Me, damnit! Wait, should I be showing more cleavage? Would that help? Oh, no -- why is this happening again? Why is this so unfair? Why doesn't anyone love me? This is your fault, MOM! You picked out this stupid dress -- you said I look grown up but what you really meant was ugly! I know your game. And you won't get away with it. You're gonna pay. Pay, pay pay! Vengeance will be mine! Mwa ha ha ha ha!
But maybe I'm just crazy. Who do you think looks better?

Who has better red carpet style?

Rumer Willis offers fashion advice: God help us all

Sure, we spend a lot of time making fun of Paris, Nicole, and the rest of young Hollywood for getting loaded to the gills and running around like crazy people. However, you have to hand it to most of these young ladies -- at least they know how to dress.

Well, most of them, anyway. Rumer Willis is a regular feature on some of the cattier fashion blogs for her, um, unique sense of style. OK, let's call a spade a spade, I think she dresses in total darkness every morning.

Which is why it's especially funny that Access Hollywood decided that she should be giving people fashion advice. She takes viewers through a series of purchases that might be useful on different occasions (like your next holiday party, etc). The looks Rumer picks out aren't bad -- so I'm guessing someone else put the ensembles together and had the young starlet memorize some intelligent-sounding commentary. As, judging by her personal style, Rumer doesn't know her ass from her elbow when it comes to fashion.
