Bionic Beauty's Sunless Tanner Tips
With the sun and hence swimsuit season upon us, let's share tips on sunless tanners. Below are my fail safe tricks to get a natural looking glow sans streaks, blotches or skin nightmares.

* Exfoliate during your shower. This is so very important to getting an even application with sunless tanners. I use a bath pouf or a loofah with my body wash and wash my entire body. Then, I very lightly wash with a non-moisturizing exfoliant or microdermabrasion body wash (like Lancome's Microdermabrasion for body). Your goal is to get an even layer of fresh skin. Without exfoliating, your skin has an uneven "shed" of skin cells causing the skin to absorb the tanner at different rates.

Just fake it! How to look tan

Just fake it: How to look tan

The sun, it looks all bright and cheery but in actuality it is pretty darn evil. The sun causes skin cancer, wrinkles, and skin as soft as a ratty piece of leather. We are all far too smart to coat ourselves in oil and layout like we did in the good old days. Nowadays there are a slew of products on the market that can make you look tan without turning to the sun, here are some of my favorites:

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs Tan Glow for Medium to Tan Skin Tones: Just spray a bit of this stuff to even out the skin tone on your legs or to get a shade darker. It's easy to apply but I little messy to get off. It's so worth the mess if you are looking for perfect egs without the help of old school pantyhose.

Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Pressed Powder, Bronzer: A little bronzer never hurt anyone. This stuff got me through the summer last year. It was the perfect powder to give me a little glow before hitting the town. The brush that is included makes for an easy application and because it's mineral makeup it isn't horrible for your skin.

Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer: Out of all of the tanning lotions, I like this one the best. Smells great, the tan is gradual, the tan actually works and looks real, oh and it's dirt cheap. Pick up a bottle at any drugstore, grocery store, or online and you will have a tan in no time without the harmful rays from the sun.
