Swiss army knife goes digital

The way we see it, it's always a good idea to carry a pocketknife for whatever trouble life might throw at you. When you combine it with a toothpick, tweezers, a corkscrew, compass -- you can pretty much MacGuyver your way through any situation. We could make a pretty good case for carrying around a Leatherman multi-tool, but not from a fashion standpoint. It's hard to beat the sleek and compact design of the Swiss Army Knife.

Victorinox's Swiss army knives have somehow managed to stay relevant through over a century of intense technological change. The latest generation Swiss Army Knife is no exception, it gives you a selection of 6 necessary tools for modern living. This bad boy is your one-stop shop for a retractable ballpoint pen, LED white light, blade, file, scissors, and a removable 1GB USB drive. How awesome is that?

Newspaper runs fake Gucci ad on accident

Filed under: Style in the News

How far will you go to get your 15 minutes of fame?

One Swiss man went so far as to con a major media company into publishing a fake two-page Gucci ad, in which he poses half-naked next to a bottle of the designer's perfume.

And by the sounds of it, he didn't have to try very hard. According to Christoph Zimmer, a spokesman for the paper, the man simply called, requested an expensive two-page spread, sent the paper the artwork, and asked for the $50,000 bill to be sent to Gucci.

The man is now under investigation for fraud, and the paper plans to make him pay for the ad. But, says Zimmer, "we don't rate our chances."

Hysterical.
