Don't Despair, Great Shirts to Wear!

Page views are like kisses.Actually, you should Despair, since that's the name of the company that we're discussing today. DespairWear, to be exact. Their motto is "clothes make the man, these clothes make the man sad." The clothes in question are t-shirts, and to be honest they don't make us feel sad at all. In fact, they tend to bring out the opposite. Rumor has it that one of the interns was even seen smiling. It's like an urban legend.

T-Shirt of the Day: Psycho Reindeer

Psycho Reindeer makes t-shirts and we'll talk about that, but first we should address the company name and figure out what it means. It isn't something to be ignored.

According to the company founder on the Psycho Reindeer website: When we were dating, my lovely wife gave me an old sawdust-stuffed reindeer toy as a Christmas gift. I liked it so much it became the namesake of my t-shirt company.

I believe he meant to say "an old psycho-stuffed reindeer," but regardless, it's still a fun name.

The shirts are even better:

Tonic: Good tees and good causes

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Men, Style for a Cause

We love a good t-shirt. We've been pretty clear on that. We also love doing the right thing (insert Spike Lee reference here). You can imagine how happy we were to find a t-shirt company that embodies both.

Tonic has t-shirts for men and women in 8 different prints. The sales of these shirts helps contribute to charities in the following areas, education, environment, poverty, and social welfare. Tonic donates about 40% of their profits to these causes. That's a very cool thing (we're not the only ones that think so).

However, if that isn't the case, or if you are entertaining thoughts of getting a jump on 2009, then check out these patriotic tees from T-Shirts.com "one of the largest online retailers of t-shirts!"

ThoseShirts.com
does something unlike any other t-shirt company we've covered. They make Republicans funny. Actually, quite a few of the t-shirt companies have made Republicans funny, but ThoseShirts.com are laughting with the right, not at them. We know, we didn't think it could be done either.

We were concerned about Hot Topic after seeing their latest addition, but then we realized that they still had plenty of other lines available and that most of them are pretty cool- or in the case of our featured shirt, yummy.

First of all, today is Mother's Day- have you called yours? We'll wait.

Okay, that was a close one. Now back to the matter at hand, the Mother's Day commemorative t-shirt. The good news is that the Internet is full of options for Mom, the bad news is that they are mostly crap. Actually, that's about the way it is for most things on the Internet. It's not personal, Mom. We really like Vintage Vantage, and not just because they were soaked in voting controversy (guess where it started? We're looking at you Florida) or that they are officially at war with the country of Denmark, valid reasons they both may be. No, we like them because they make great shirts.
