Rachel Bilson in D & G - I Want That!

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Red Carpet Trends, Get the Look

Rachel BilsonLeave it to Rachel Bilson to make a basic jean and tee combo look like anything but. By adding a bright yellow Jimmy Choo clutch and a sparkly tuxedo blazer, she made a fashion statement with force. Rachel is right on point with the tuxedo trend. And the sequins. And the purple shadow. And yellow being the color of 2009...

Mischa Barton in Matthew Williamson - I Want That!

Mischa BartonMischa Barton and glamorous - two words that usually do not fit in the same sentence. Although we applaud her unique style, she has made the fashion faux pas list more times than we can count! However, if she keeps this crap up, we might actually have to *gasp* move her onto our best dressed list.

Its official – Rachel Bilson just knows how to pick 'em. At the 2008 Teen Choice Awards in LA, the actress chose a turquoise Brian Reyes asymmetrical, one-shouldered dress (do we smell a trend brewing here with Blake and Rach?). It was fun and flirty – absolutely aces for this event.

Not to name drop but she accessorized with some of our personal favs – Lanvin sandals, a Marni clutch, and Amrapali gems. Gorg! After this, we just cannot wait for this girl's line with DKNY to come out!

• Marni clutch, Marni, $1,960

• Lanvin multi strap sandals, Barney's, $320

• Amrapali earrings, Amrapali Outlet's, Priced upon request

I want that! Mulberry dress

Mischa Barton often looks like a hippie that got dressed in the dark. Sometimes she gets it so wrong we want to cry and other times she gets it so right we rejoice and celebrate by... posting her photo and praising her.

This is one of those times. Mischa is wearing an adorable Mulberry dress at the Alicia Keys "Keep a Child Alive" Black Ball in London, which benefited AIDS/HIV charities. It still shows off Mischa's more or less bohemian style, what with the ruffles and what not, but the less is more approach is what really sets it off.

Plus Mulberry is an English brand that hails from London so it is excellent that she supports designers that are in her exact location.

Rachel Bilson has a great sense of style - fact. Her look from the May 15 launch of Rogan for Target at Barney's in Beverly Hills is a great example of her classic, eclectic look that often mixes high fashion with low. She seamlessly blends a blazer with a bohemian style crocheted dress, neon bangles, and fashion forward open toe boots – a mish mash that probably shouldn't work together but do on Miss Bilson.

Our favorite piece here has to be those killer boots. God, we're such shoe whores.

The OC hits the runway

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Samaire Armstrong, who played Anna Stern on The OC, is using her success as an actress to backbone her own fashion line called NARU.

She actually had a stint in fashion school before her acting career took off, so at least she has some credibility. She's certainly not, however, the first celeb to launch her own fashion line. Nikki Sixx, for example, did the same thing not too long ago.

I guess there's nothing wrong with taking advantage of your fame, but it seems to me that none of these entrepreneurial tangents actually end up succeeding. Who knows, though, because Armstrong's NARU line has been featured in Vogue, YM, Elle, and InStyle.
