Only a couple of weeks after we outed rock stars for being lame, Fergie goes on the Today Show and delivers this completely slutty performance -- and totally redeems herself. It's a little bit controversial to say the least, especially on a morning show in front of freaked out little kids. But the leather (latex?) pants looked great and soccer moms nationwide are no doubt furious at her and the network. All is right with the world.

Jane Fonda used some colorful language on the this morning's Today Show. I sure hope they did some serious clearance work to make sure that Jane could drop the "C" word on television. Otherwise, the FCC is going to have to raid their studios and put Matt Lauer in a head lock. Of all the four letter words -- and there are some juicy ones out there -- c*nt is on the short list of words I try to forget, so I never accidentally say it on national TV.

Seriously though, how is it that Janet Jackson's partially covered boob puts the FCC in an uproar and Jane Fonda gets to drop a C-bomb on the Today Show? Don't tell me Fonda gets a pass because she's referencing the Vagina Monolouges. This is not "high art" people, this is the Today Show with Meredith Vieira -- and on Valentines Day no less!? I almost choked on my Cheerios when I saw it.

I was actually late coming into the office yesterday because of the Today Show, which always entertains me in the morning. I don't actually watch the Today Show for news because very rarely will I find actual "news" there (I prefer watching CNN for the news). What I did find in place of news today was a very old woman discussing her dog wig company.

Yes, you read that correctly -- wigs for dogs!

Why a dog would need a wig is beyond me. Dogs are covered in fur! Dog clothing is one thing because that can be pretty cute, but wigs?! It was pretty amazing watching the segment because Al and the gang could hardly contain their laughter. There were dogs with comb-overs, blue wigs, braids ... you name it.

You probably thought gastric bypass operations were just for the well-heeled and the occasional Today Show weatherman.

It turns out, however, that the gastric bypass crowd is growing by the day, and it has even started to reach the athletic community. As Alison Aubrey reported on NPR last Thursday, College Football Hall-of -Famer Anthony Davis is the newest, widely-publicized gastric bypass (a.k.a. bariatic surgery) recipient.

In the 1970s, Davis was a famed running back for the University of Southern California Trojans. Over time, however, he neglected his health and ultimately reached a bodyweight that fluctuated between 265 and 300 pounds (his weight in his glory days was 190). Accompanying this weight gain were problems usually associated with obesity: sleep apnea, diabetes, gout.

So with his doctor's blessing, Davis underwent bariatic surgery, and over time his waist went from 48 inches to 34. Can Al Roker compete with that?
