Following
yesterday's post on the science behind women's choice in dress, I was tipped off to a great website that sells science-inspired t-shirts. I don't know, maybe it appeals to my inner geek, but I love the sciencey fashion at
Robata Brand Clothing. T-shirts are not usually my thing, but I pretty much totally covet all three of these designs, of which, my favorite has to be the
Russian Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin crested t-shirt, which is on sale for $10. As far as designer t-shirt companies go (of which there are soooo many), I think Robata has a very cool aesthetic going for it. The designs look as much like art as they do like screen printing -- which in my mind is a good litmus test for sorting the wheat from the chaff in the t-shirt world. I don't make many predictions in life, but it seems to me that a t-shirt with a geeky, science-inspired theme could eventually have some serious hipster cache.
Call me crazy, but I think that science-wear is going to be the new black, or in this case, the new trucker hat.
