Hot panties change color as you wear them

British cops call fashion police

Filed under: Events: On the Scene, Style in the News, Clothing

Anyone who has visited the UK undoubtedly noticed the iconic (but fairly ridiculous) head gear worn by British police. While the helmets may make the force instantly recognizable to tourists and locals alike, they unfortunately aren't very practical. They not only make officers look silly, the damn things keep falling off when cops are chasing suspects.

So the force figures it's about time for a new look -- and for that, they're turning to the London College of Fashion design. Students will be re-designing an entirely new uniform, which will probably mean an end to the bell-shaped caps currently associated with UK crime fighting.

After the design overhaul is complete, the new threads will be tested by 50 male and female officers, during which time the public is encouraged to give feedback.

I'll be interested to see what they come up with. It's nice to see the police working hard to be fashion-forward.
