The French fabricator, who has referred to fashion as "manipulation," is set to launch a waterproof cashmere line with Scottish company Ballantyne. His pieces are made in hopes that wearers will have no need for trends of the moment.

Joining the house of Dior and Karl Lagerfeld in the world of cinema, YSL has put out an eight minute film to present its Men's Spring/ Summer 2010 Collection. The black and white movie features young Jules, who finds a hotel key and enters the debaucherous adult world. Don't expect to see much of the clothing line, but the child's Robert DeNiro in "Taxi Driver" impression is bizarrely cute.
