The Tony Awards - Where Age Ain't Nothin' But a Number

Just like you, we often find ourselves fawning over the gorgeous young starlets like Bar Refaeli and Evan Rachel Wood, who did give us plenty to gawk at upon arriving at yesterday's Young Hollywood Awards.

But move over ingenues! You weren't the ones who grabbed our attention last night! The true Hollywood hotties attended the Tony Awards, and these ladies make 40 (and over) look fabulous.

Ageless beauties like Jessica Lange and Jane Fonda were stunning, and could certainly teach a thing or two to some of the twenty-somethings (and younger) who usually rule the red carpet.

A Grown Up Solution for Adult Acne

You're not a teenager anymore, so why are you still dealing with a teenage problem? Acne can be an issue for adult skin as well as adolescent (don't tell me you've never contemplated wrapping up in a scarf to hide an embarrassing blemish!), but because grown up skin has different needs, adult acne requires a different solution than the OTC products marketed at those entering puberty. We've got the scoop on exactly what you should be looking for.

Rene Russo's Sexy Romp

Provocative campaigns are nothing new in advertising, but we have to hand it to accessory designer Brian Atwood for choosing 55 year-old Rene Russo to be the sultry star of his spring collection. The former model-cum-actress did not disappoint in a saucy shoot at the home of L.A. photographer Tony Duran. The resulting images – where Russo romps with naked male models and is ensconced the leggy embrace of another femme fatale – have been published in a glossy book entitled "Role Play Rene" of which there are only 1,000 copies. Atwood is giving the limited edition tome to his enviable circle of friends and retailers.

Don't fret! We've got a selection of the steamy shots here.

Sexy Stars in their 50s

Anjelica Huston hit the beach in this tiny black bikini during her Caribbean vacation. Soaking in the rays and playing in the surf with friends, the 57-year-old star confidently rocked her two piece. Click on for more women who are 50 and Fab.

Happy Birthday Oprah! The Queen of talk was born on January 29, 1954 which means O is O-fficially 55 today. While everyone (including Oprah herself) has been giving the media mogul a hard time about her weight these past few months we think no matter your size nothing is more sexy than confidence. Chic dress, amazing bag, perfect oversized sunglasses and this season's dreamiest pair of Christian Louboutin heels, this birthday girl knows how to work her 50s! It may be true that Hollywood doesn't write enough good parts for women in their 50s, but, looking at some of Tinseltown's hottest Boomer stars, you wonder who lets these gals spend even a second off-screen. Even with a few nips and tucks -- we won't tell who -- these actresses are as fit in their 50s as they were at their debuts. Case in point: Sharon Stone, shown here at the 23rd Annual American Cinematheque Awards in Beverly Hills last December. The 50-year-old actress and activist didn't even getting around to adopting her three sons until her 40s, and she still looks like she can keep up with moms -- and mannequins -- half her age.

Even at 54, supermodel Iman still has the swan neck -- and the swan-like grace -- that once made Yves Saint Laurent declare, "My dream woman is Iman." Thirty years after she lit up the catwalks, the model and businesswoman -- shown here at a New York fundraiser last fall -- dazzles with or without her arm-candy hubby, David Bowie.

It's been more than 15 years since Michelle Pfeiffer scorched movie screens as the super-sexy Catwoman in "Batman Returns." But we're willing to bet that, at nearly 53, she can still slink into her black catsuit. Meeee-yow!

From virgin to tramp and every geisha, cowgirl and wife-of-a-South-America-dictator in between, it's close to impossible to keep up with the endless incarnations of Madonna (shown performing last December in Miami). But one thing remains unchanged: her staggering ability to grow stronger and more toned with each passing year. Another case of "Banjamin Button"? Sorry, couch potatoes. Those sinewy limbs are a testament to the 50-year-old singer's devotion to cardio, Pilates and macrobiotic eating.

    Alexander Tamargo, WireImage

Sure, she went through the sort of divorce last summer that would have sent the rest of us diving into bags of Chips Ahoy and vats of Eddy's Slow Churned Triple Chocolate. But, at 54, model, activist and milk spokeswoman Christie Brinkley is every bit as gorgeous as she was in her days as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl.

Over the last few years, Jamie Lee Curtis has made a second career out out "true thighs" -- proving that all those ultra-glam magazine images of women over 40 are the result of skillful airbrushing and the right underwear, not good genes. But, with or without her Spanx, the 50-year-old actress and author -- shown at an LA awards luncheon last year -- looks uber-chic to us.

    Stephen Shugerman, Getty Images

Yes, we know she can act the hell out of 30-something (or is it 40-something?) Samantha Jones. But we think actress Kim Cattrall looks even more smashing when she acts her own age. (Sssssh! It's 52, but she won't mind if you say she looks 42.)

    Dimitrios Kambouris,WireImage

Go ahead -- we dare you to challenge Angela Bassett to an arm-we wrestle. With those enviable biceps, the 50-year-old "ER" star will flip you faster than you can scream, "Get out of my emergency room!"

Flatter Your Figure - Grandma Gets Gorgeous

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Flatter Your Figure

Often, fashion trends focus on a very specific demographic. A very, young, very thin demographic. And to be honest, we aren't willing to define beauty in those terms -- beautiful women can be found at any age, and at any size. Sometimes, though, they just need a little help figuring out how to best flaunt what they've got.

Cate Blanchett - No Plastic Surgery for This A-Lister

Cate BlanchettWhile most Hollywood actresses no doubt feel the pressure to stave off the aging process (can you say Nicole Kidman?), there's at least one red carpet stunner who won't go to extreme measures to halt the aging process. Cate Blanchett has good motivation for avoiding going under the knife -- her husband said he'd divorce her if she did.

Botox - How Young is Too Young?

Filed under: Skin Care, Beauty Tips

woman getting botoxWe pretty much take for granted that most Hollywood hotties of a certain age have probably had Botox injections to keep their faces free of lines. But, how young is too young for a woman to start having the procedure done? And, more importantly, at what age do doctors begin suggesting it?

Style doesn't end at a certain age - Advanced Style proves it

Style for the silver fox crowd doesn't necessarily have much to do with what the 17-year-old models are wearing on the catwalks during Fashion Week. It has much more to do with embracing your signature style and being as unique as you want to be.

Flatter Your Figure - Avoiding aging fashion flubs

Filed under: Clothing, Flatter Your Figure

As our mother often says, getting older stinks in a bunch of ways, but one of the biggest bummers comes in the form of fashionable clothing (or, rather, the lack thereof). When you're 35, 45, or even checking that 60+ box, you don't want to wear the same types of styles as a high schooler, but you probably don't want to dress like your mother or grandmother.

So what trends will work at any age, and what items will simply age you? We've given this a lot of thought, and have a few suggestions for looking fierce while remaining age appropriate. Click through the gallery to see how!

Twiggy talks about being fab past 40

Twiggy was one of the biggest style icons of the Sixties, but don't think for a second that she's done being fabulous. She turned 59 yesterday (Happy Birthday, Twiggy!), and is working hard to be a role model for mature women.

The former supermodel, who is now the face of Marks & Spencer, says that women can absolutely be fashion forward and fabulous well past their 40th birthdays. She said, "For me, getting older is about harnessing all the things I have learned about what does and doesn't suit me. The 40s onwards are when we can really begin to enjoy ourselves," adding, "Successful dressing is mostly about attitude, having the confidence in what you wear, knowing that it's working for your body."

Anna Wintour ages? Stop the press!

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

It can be a shock to one's system to see an icon age. The first time we saw Friends in high def, we have to say, we were slightly taken aback -- who knew any of those women had anything less than perfectly youthful skin? However, when an icon, such as Vogue editrix Anna Wintour, is 58 years old, you've got to expect that she won't have quite the same look as a 20 year old. Even if she does eat 20 year olds for lunch.

Huffington Post recently posted this article, showing that -- oh my god -- Anna has crows feet. Well, no kidding! She doesn't look like a teenager, but looks great (and appropriate) for her age. She's thin, her skin looks healthy, and, needless to say, the woman can dress. What more should we expect?

Does your hairstyle match your age?

(Click on the photo to see the Top 10 Celeb Hair Nightmares)

Most women have learned certain beauty tricks that keep them from looking older than they are (or looking their age, as the case may be). In Hollywood, youthful looks seem to be the primary goal of many actresses, so naturally one would imagine that it's the one place where women would make sure to find a fresh, age-appropriate 'do.

However, that's not always the case.

Ask StyleList: Clothes for grandmas and more

Dear StyleList,

I'm 77 years young and having trouble finding fashionable clothes. I dress casually and cannot wear the tees and blouses because I have the roll around the middle. I can wear a size 10 in pants as long as the waist is elastic, but tops show my roll so I tend to buy XL, which don't really fit. Where can I find nice-looking clothes that aren't old and dowdy? I hate shopping because I cannot find anything that makes me feel good.

Sex and the City ladies photoshopped into their late teens

New Sex and the City promo pictures have just been released, and the ladies don't look a day over 20! We know that the magazine and movie people always seem to want to do some Photoshop, to make their superstars look, well, more superstarish -- because obviously no woman actually looks good as is. Of course, no matter how thin or beautiful, everyone needs to be airbrushed (ahem, total sarcasm). But, this time, the Sex and the City retouchers have taken things over the top.

Does Katie Holmes dress too old for her age?

I know Katie Holmes is a mom now, plus she's with an older guy (way older guy, in fact), and her best friend, Victoria Beckham, is also a few years her senior. So it's not surprising that she dresses a little differently than her young Hollywood counterparts.

But is she going too far?

Fashionistas 'round the world have been chiding Katie as of late -- many saying she dresses more like a grandma than a 20-something movie star. And the dress she wore last night to the premiere of her new film, Mad Money, has provoked a similar response.

It's not that bad from the front, but what's up that strap across the back? I haven't seen that look on a woman under 50 since...well...I've never seen that look on a woman under 50. What gives? It's one thing to go for the sophisticated look, but it seems like Katie is missing the mark.

What do you think?
