While most Hollywood actresses no doubt feel the pressure to stave off the aging process (can you say Nicole Kidman?), there's at least one red carpet stunner who won't go to extreme measures to halt the aging process. Cate Blanchett has good motivation for avoiding going under the knife -- 
We pretty much take for granted that 
Style for the silver fox crowd doesn't necessarily have much to do with what the 17-year-old models are wearing on the catwalks during Fashion Week. It has much more to do with embracing your signature style and being as unique as you want to be.
As our mother often says, getting older stinks in a bunch of ways, but one of the biggest bummers comes in the form of fashionable clothing (or, rather, the lack thereof). When you're 35, 45, or even checking that 60+ box, you don't want to wear the same types of styles as a high schooler, but you probably don't want to dress like your mother or grandmother.
Twiggy was one of the biggest style icons of the Sixties, but don't think for a second that she's done being fabulous. She turned 59 yesterday (Happy Birthday, Twiggy!), and is working hard to be a role model for mature women.
It can be a shock to one's system to see an icon age. The first time we saw Friends in high def, we have to say, we were slightly taken aback -- who knew any of those women had anything less than perfectly youthful skin? However, when an icon, such as Vogue editrix Anna Wintour, is 58 years old, you've got to expect that she won't have quite the same look as a 20 year old. Even if she does eat 20 year olds for lunch.

I know Katie Holmes is a mom now, plus she's with an older guy (way older guy, in fact), and her best friend, Victoria Beckham, is also a few years her senior. So it's not surprising that she dresses a little differently than her young Hollywood counterparts.
