At the age of 51, Michelle Pfeiffer has every right to air her grievances regarding the "cougar" phenomenon.

Not so much the concept (as she most recently took a love interest 24 years her junior in the upcoming "Cheri," premiering later this month), but more the term itself. Pfeiffer explains in the July issue of InStyle magazine, "I so hate that term! Men are sugar daddies and women are cougars? Men are strong and women are bitches?"

And more on that young love interest? Pfeiffer details the exploits of romancing her much younger leading men: "It was a progression. Paul [Rudd] is 11 years younger. With Ashton [Kutcher, 20 years younger], I thought, I'm never going younger than this again...."

Style doesn't end at a certain age - Advanced Style proves it

Style for the silver fox crowd doesn't necessarily have much to do with what the 17-year-old models are wearing on the catwalks during Fashion Week. It has much more to do with embracing your signature style and being as unique as you want to be.

Courteney Cox - Botox is "fantastic and also horrible"

Filed under: Skin Care, Celebrities with Style

Not all that many celebrities cop to using Botox, although we know many of them have. Women in their 40s and 50s don't just magically not have wrinkles. They just don't. But, Courteney Cox is not only admitting she's had Botox -- she says it made her miserable and hampered her acting skills.

Flatter Your Figure - Avoiding aging fashion flubs

Filed under: Clothing, Flatter Your Figure

As our mother often says, getting older stinks in a bunch of ways, but one of the biggest bummers comes in the form of fashionable clothing (or, rather, the lack thereof). When you're 35, 45, or even checking that 60+ box, you don't want to wear the same types of styles as a high schooler, but you probably don't want to dress like your mother or grandmother.

So what trends will work at any age, and what items will simply age you? We've given this a lot of thought, and have a few suggestions for looking fierce while remaining age appropriate. Click through the gallery to see how!

Heidi Klum would rather be a dinosaur than have plastic surgery

Heidi Klum is aging! Well, at least she says she is, though we're not completely convinced. However, even though she can tell the difference between how she looked several years ago and how she looks now, she doesn't think she'll resort to getting plastic surgery.

Ladies, flaunt your forties

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

Forty is apparently a big deal for women. Men, widely accepted to become distinguished with age, don't really notice 40 or the subsequent years known has the "40 somethings." They only notice things like how suddenly there aren't any professional athletes their age or that movies they love start issuing 25th Anniversary specials. These are the signs of aging for men. However, such things are more likely to raise a forty than cause much grief.

Testing out the Vichy peel kit

In my ongoing quest to explore the new CVS down the street from my house, I decided to test out the Vichy chemical peel kit. I've done these home peel sets before but never really found them to be strong enough to do much good in the skin repair department.

The Vichy peel was designed with a board of dermatologists and includes both micro-dermabrasion and chemical peel. The kit consists of a micro-dermabrasion scrub with aluminum oxide crystals, pre-packaged peel packets with glycolic acid, a neutralizing soothing spray with pH 7 and an anti-aging lotion with Vitamin C and SPF15. I tried it out last night (you are supposed to do it once a week for three weeks). This one is much stronger than previous ones I used, the scrub is really rough and the peel stings a bit but the third step spray is quite delightful. I woke up this morning with a lovely little rash along my upper lip, which I am hoping will take some wrinkles away with it when it fades. The kit sells for $55.

If it works I'll let you know in around a month.
