Anna Wintour and Carine Roitfeld, Battle of the Vogues

Filed under: Style in the News

It's the clash of the fashion titans. Rumors have been swirling for months that American Vogue editor Anna Wintour, infamous for her hostility towards press and television interviews, will be doing a 60 Minutes special with Morley Safar which will air by May 2009. The gossip mill also claims that Anna and French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld, for lack of better words, hate each other. So in true fashion diva style, Carine couldn't let Anna be the only Vogue editor with a special this season, now could she?

And the debate winner is...the genius who made "That One" t-shirts

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Style for a Cause

Many people watching the debate last night were surprised to see John McCain jerk at thumb at Obama and refer to his democratic rival as "That One". Kendra Wilkinson ain't classy enough for the Olive Garden

Playboy hottie and lady friend to Hugh Hefner, Kendra Wilkinson has plenty of admirers. With her So-Cal looks and willingness to express herself toplessly, she is a truly American brand.

You could say that Olive Garden, another "only in America" classic, is a natural match for Kendra, both of them pre-fab, bland and over-processed. In other words, easy to like and available in every mall in America.

But this is a story of unrequited love.

Urban Outfitters x Steven Alan

Filed under: Runway Trends, Clothing, Dresses

If Urban Outfitters could talk to us, we know the secrets coming from its mouth would be something about how it's always wanted be Topshop. For reals, though, we're almost 100% sure that if Urban Outfitters could take anyone out it would be the British mega retailer. The tension between the two companies is thick and its only going to get more stifling with Topshop landing on our shores this fall. The battle for American fast fashion hearts will be an intense one.

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really. Go Yanks!

Major League Baseball will be celebrating the All-Star break in one week. That doesn't mean you can't start celebrating it now. We're talking jerseys, people.

Granted, we usually don't suggest that people wear replica jerseys and faux uniforms as a fashion statement. However, as a regular statement they are generally acceptable. Still, you probably shouldn't wear them to the office. They're much more appropriate to wear to the game, bar, or other sports-related event. Luckily we go to a lot of games, bars and sports-related events. Mostly bars.
