Marissa Miller: Victoria's Secret's Newest Angel

Filed under: Style in the News

Another angel has gotten her wings and she goes by the name Marissa Miller.

After walking around barely there for Sports Illustrated, she finally nabbed the Swimsuit Issue cover this past year. And after donning all of those lacy bras and panties for Victoria's Secret for years, Marissa Miller has finally been given the title of "Angel" by the company.

This means you'll be seeing lots more of Marissa in ads for the lingerie company and doing more public promotional work for the brand as well. On her new job, the supermodel says:

"It's like a dream come true. I'm so excited. It's so cool too because my sisters and my mom and I are longtime customers, so to be an Angel is pretty surreal."

Introducing the newest Victoria's Secret Angel: Doutzen Kroes

Once upon a time, there was a pouty-lipped Danish beauty that swooned clients like Valentino and impressed photographers like Steven Meisel so much that he put the mannequin on the cover of his sacred Italian Vogue.

Well, the Danish beauty is known as Doutzen Kroes, but if you've stopped by any Victoria's Secret stores in last couple of months then she's the girl posing in all of the pretty lingeire near the dressing rooms.

However, Kroes has just gotten a very major promotion:

The DNA star has just been given her wings. That's right! Doutzen is now a Victoria's Secret Angel like Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, and all the other lucky and skinny bitches that came before her.

Currently, you can see the model star in the new Vicky Secret ads circulating in all of your favorite magazines. And no, we're not just even the tiniest bit jealous.

Naomi Watts gets 'Angelic' for Thierry Mugler

Filed under: Style in the News, Fragrance, Celebrities with Style

Clearly it's not enough for Naomi Watts to be just an Oscar-nominated actress with a beautiful baby and a super-famous best friend. No, the King Kong and Funny Games star has designs on the modeling industry, too -- she has just been signed up as the first celebrity face of Thierry Mugler's Iconic Angel perfume.

Any eagle-eyed dress-watchers at the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala Benefit in New York last week will have spotted the suitably angelic appearance of Watts' dress... of course, it was a Mugler design. Crafty.

Gwen's Harajuku Lovers perfume

In the past, Gwen Stefani has credited the very hip Harajuku district in Tokyo, Japan as the inspiration behind her clothing line and two solo albums.

Well, the avant-garde street culture has penetrated the singer's new fragrance line aptly named Harajuku Lovers that is set to drop this September.

The line consists of five scents: The first four are named after Gwen's back-up dancers -- Love, Angel, Music, and Baby -- while the fifth scent "G" represents the leader of this frighteningly cool group.
