3-D Toile Kid's Half Apron - $18 at Anthropologie.comIt's not too late to go grab an Anthropologie apron from your local shop before Thanksgiving tomorrow! An online search on Anthropologie.com brings up 49 hits and includes sexy mama aprons as well as aprons for kids. It may be hard for you to let your kids cook in these adorable aprons, but they're only $24 ($18 for the half aprons like the one at right), which we all know is pretty good for Anthropologie, and what else are they gonna do with an apron?

The real fashion statement of summer: BBQ aprons

There are only two articles of fabric we really care about come summertime, bikinis and barbecue aprons. We could sit here and talk bikinis all day, or better yet we could show you pictures of them. We're not going to do that- at least not in this post.

Wait! Don't leave! You can read about bikinis anytime, how often do you get the opportunity to appreciate the apron? It is the forgotten accessory of summer, but it is a vital one.

An apron is a great way to express oneself. It can be covered in beer bottles or kittens, crude jokes or sweet sentiments. The possibilities are endless. The BBQ Guys have a few examples below:

Callie MicksWe love all of the amazing independent designers out there. In order to find out more about just what makes all of these creative types tick, we present to you an ongoing segment called Indie Designer Interviews.

Todays interview is with Callie Micks, who creates eco-friendly, fashionable kitchen aprons for women and kids. Callie proves that aprons aren't what they used to be, and one of her customers went so far as to say her apron was "so dangerously cute I would wear it in and out of the kitchen."
