Kiefer Sutherland Update - Brooke Shields Blames Her 6" Heels!

Filed under: Style in the News

Kiefer Sutherland was officially charged with assault earlier today after turning himself in to NYC's 1st Precinct. The charges against the "24" star stem from his supposed headbutting of Jack McCollough -- half of design duo Proenza Schouler -- who pressed charges against Kiefer according to WWD.

The altercation, as we previously reported, occurred at an afterparty at SubMercer in New York City following the Met's Costume Institute Gala on Monday night. According to the AP, Jack claims he was attacked by Sutherland after an argument, and left with an injured nose.

Brooke Shield's has been thrust into the middle of the whole debacle since Kiefer was supposedly provoked when McCollough bumped Brooke's drink, though the The NY Daily News reported that her reps told TMZ "she was jostled, but nothing happened to her."

Is Naomi Campbell pregnant?

In the epic story that is the life of Naomi Campbell, it seems as though our protagonist has finally met her match:

The legal system.

Last week, the supermodel was charged with six offenses for her little verbal and bodily fluid assault at an officer on a British Airways flight last month, which land her with a $10,000 fine, and even worse, a stint in jail for six months!

Naomi is guilty, so what's her punishment?

Filed under: Runway Trends, Celebrities with Style

In a New York City courtroom on Tuesday, supermodel Naomi Campbell entered into a plea bargain to avoid jail time for her assault on former housekeeper Ana Scolavino. Following her plea, Campbell's lawyer David Breitbart asked that she be allowed to perform indoor community for reasons of her own personal safety.

Naturally, Campbell's safety is not what is at stake in her attorney's sentencing request -- she just doesn't want to be subjected to the hecklers and photographers who captured singer Boy George's community service in excruciating detail last year.

Seeing as how Naomi is bucking for an indoor sentence, I came up with a couple of ideas for Campbell's community service, all of which are technically indoors.
  • Cleaning the walls of New York City subway stations
  • Scrubbing gum off the undersides of benches in Penn Station
  • Handing out paper towels in the ladies room of the Natural History Museum
  • Giving free directions to confused tourists from a tiny booth in Little Italy
What do you think Campbell should do for her public service?

Naomi acquitted (again!)

Those of you who have been waiting with baited breath to see if supermodel Naomi Campbell would be found guilty of assault, I have good news. On December 13, the leggy British model was found not guilty of assaulting her former housekeeper Ana Scolavino. Of course, Campbell isn't completely off the hook since she was also recently accused of assault and battery by her former maid Gaby Gibson.

If the legal system isn't going to do something about Campbell's behavior (she's been found not guilty several times before) maybe we should take matters into our own hands. If all the personal assistants, domestic workers and maids in London refused to work for her maybe then she would be forced to recognize the error of her ways. And if she didn't, at least the world would get to take some delight in the thought of Campbell having to wash her own dirty laundry.

Naomi seeks more "palatable" punishment

At Styledash, we remain committed to keeping you up to date on the ridiculous shenanigans of one Naomi Campbell. So it was only natural that we toss out the most recent "Naomism". Campbell's lawyer David Breitbart recently requested that if the model were to be found guilty of assault against her former housekeeper Ana Scolavino that she be granted to have a more "palatable punishment" than community service. No doubt, Campbell is worried that she will be up against a siege of mockery and taunting, much like pop star Boy George who was recently sentenced to street sweeping and a day-long field day for the paparazzi.

What counts as "more palatable" to Ms. Campbell? Well, one would assume it would be anything that doesn't include a broom, a street or manual labor.

Naomi might settle her score

Filed under: Runway Trends, Style in the News

According to a Reuters report, supermodel Naomi Campbell is considering the option of settling with assault victim Ana Scolavino. Prosecutors claim that Campbell threw her cellphone at Scolavino during a dispute over a pair of blue jeans. Campbell's cellphone hit the victim in the back of the head, opening up a wound that required four staples. It's not clear whether the plea agree will go through, however. Assistant District Attorney Shanda Strain told Judge Evelyn Laporte of the Manhattan Criminal Court, "We are still in the process of working out a possible disposition." If the case isn't settled on or before her next court date on January 16, Campbell could face charges of second-degree assault. Given her prior record, if charged with assault, Campbell could face up to seven years in jail or deportation.

You have to admit, seven years in the big house is definitely going where no model has gone before.
