Cher and share alike

Filed under: Haute Home, Stores We Love, Celebrities with Style

Confession: I love Cher.

I love her songs. I love her movies. I love her long face. I love the graceless way she seems to chew her words whenever she speaks. And despite all of those unfortunate outfit choices over the years -- behavior which would normally made any lesser person dead to me -- she can do no wrong in my book.

Thus, you can only imagine how excited I was to hear that Cher is putting the contents of her Malibu home up for auction. The items, which include jewelry, clothes, household knick-knacks and furniture will be on exhibit throughout the US and the UK before being auctioned off at Sotheby's and Julien's.

Cher decided to have the sale so that she would be able to have the space in her home to redecorate. And of course, being the incredible creature of style and substance that she is, she will even share a percentage of the proceeds with an unnamed charity.
