If you visit the beaches of St. Tropez this summer expecting to find a magical place where women feel totally comfortable baring their breasts in public, you might be disappointed. According to an article in the UK Telegraph, the glorious tradition of Brigitte Bardot is on the decline. Apparently, bare flesh isn't as fashionable in the south of France as has been in the last few decades -- and no one's quite sure why.

When we think of the Riviera, of course we think of picturesque resort communities, but only after we envision beaches teeming with topless movie stars. Take away the topless women -- and it's just another über-expensive place to get a sunburn. Some are chalking it up to cancer concerns, others blame a rising wave of prudish conservatism. We know that in the US, nudist colonies are having trouble attracting members from the younger generations.

We say: if there's anything that never goes out of fashion, it's topless ladies.

Victoria's Secret's 2008 swimwear collection has launched! Drop dead gorgeous Marisa Miller showed up for the New York unveiling of the line and posed with the suits to help generate a little buzz -- not that this line needs any buzz. Victoria's Secret should have no problem selling bikini's and one pieces this hot!

Even though it is November, after all, for some reason, it feels like summer just ended; maybe it was the weather in southern California that screwed us up. Nevertheless, it's fall, but that doesn't mean swimsuit season is over. With the December and January coming up, we start planning our winter vacations to sunny, tropical paradises! Now since you just can't be seen wearing the same five bikinis you were wearing all summer long, it's time to pick up a new one just for that beach resort. Jasper Goodall has a luxury swimwear label, JG4B, that features his bright, unique graphic designs, many of which remind us of the'70s. There are neither polka dots nor floral prints here. Gwen Stefani, Sienna Miller and Naomi Campbell are fans of Goodall's bikinis.

Deidre went to the show, then Anne pointed out the little controversy that had flared up around the Ashley Paige Spring Collection 2007 show held in LA lat week. I received an email yesterday with a statement from the designer's PR firm regarding her "tasteless stunt" of showing a young girl in a bikini alongside women modeling bikinis.

According to the email from the PR representative, the girls were modeling mommy-mathcing swimsuits from the Baby Paige collection, and the media had "incorrectly [linked] the Baby Paige swimsuits on the girls to Ashley¹s completely separate adult swimwear line." The designer herslef stated: "It saddens me to think that people could in anyway believe I am trying to exploit children. I was not seeking controversy what I was seeking was simply for the girls to look cute and have fun, as kids do on the beach everyday in Southern California and most of the rest of the world."

It's Fall, the time of year when leaves turn various shades of orange and red, and the crisp air prepares itself for the oncoming Winter. What better time to talk about bikinis? 1. The Classic String Bikini: This baby is like swimwear's version of the little black dress... the very, very, very little black dress. A) It doesn't offer much support and B) America's Funniest Home Videos has far too many accounts of these things flying away from water slides. If you don't have a rebellious bust and/or plans to take a 200 ft plunge into a pool of tourists, a string bikini will probably be the easiest choice. It's easy to be Aphrodite in summer when you're barely wearing a backless halter, a micro mini, or strappy sandals, but what is a goddess to do when cooler weather hits? Throwing on layer upon layer of thick woolens, chunky knits and heavy boots might make you look like the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man on the outside, but there is nothing stopping you from feeling sexy on the inside.

Thong - Betsey Johnson's Floral Mesh Thong has a little bit of pink floral in the print, and a tiny satin bow. Awww, isn't that sweet, just like Hello Kitty? Wait until you turn around. It's a thong, you sexy thang. Meow.

G-string - Don't be afraid of the floss. It certainly seems uncomfortable, and no doubt, it takes a little getting used to when you put it on, but there are times when the string's the only thing that will save you from VPL. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Frederick's of Hollywood has an itty bitty Harlow Lace G-string for $14.

We barely caught a glimpse of Kate Moss in Alexander McQueen's skull scarf, and perhaps the double whammy with the new Pirates movie, but suddenly the entire planet wants to wear skulls, whether it's a print on a fabric, or a charm on jewelry. Here are seven days of skulls just for us, dashing style.

Sunday - We know that the skull theme will likely go into fall, but you can certainly start easy in the summer. Relax by the pool on Sunday afternoon with a black bikini adorned with skull charms.

Monday - Back to the grind, but you can't get too crazy at the office. The Rocker tunic is just subtle enough to go into that meeting, but just creepy enough to keep that weirdo from accounting away from your desk.

Friday - First it's happy hour, then off to the Sunset Strip for some rock and roll at The Whisky. Romeo and Juliet black ribbed skull tank, for the rocker chick in you.

Saturday - Yeah, well we've seen these everywhere, and even though I am not a huge fan of leggings, let alone white ones, these are from Rachel Pally, current darling designer.

So you weren't quite bikini-ready when summer started, but that's okay because the height of summer is the best time to buy swimsuits on sale, and if you buy now, you still have a good two months to wear it out by the pool.

There's no holster for a gun, but the style is very Ursula Andress with the belted bottom, and the halter style top shows off those sexy (sunless)-tanned shoulders you've been working on up until now.

The bikini is on sale at Victoria's Secret for $36 for both pieces, and the pieces can be bought separately. It also comes in white, aqua, and plum, but it looks the baddest-ass in black. Just like a Bond Girl.
