Mary-Kate Olsen is utterly baffled as to why she's considered a fashion icon (and that makes two of us). Women all over the world have been inexplicably drawn to her "homeless chic" style of giant, layered dresses and sweaters, but apparently, MK's trendsetting status came about entirely by accident.

Just like you, we are suckers for all things simple and free – a comfy tailored jacket, a ruffled top, a floaty dress, or a sweet denim mini. But finding all of these things together in one line is often hard to come by. That is until we found Golden State.

We love all of the amazing independent designers out there. In order to find out more about just what makes all of these creative types tick, we present to you an ongoing segment called Indie Designer Interviews.

Today we'd like to introduce you to designer Tara Johnson who creates custom-designed, handcrafted crochet accessories. Her line, Spontaneity, is full of funky, bohemian goodies that are totally affordable and sure to set you apart from the crowd.

It seems like easy breezy boho is here to stay, which makes us lazy folk very happy. We've all had a couple of years to get this look down pat but we haven't quite figured out what to do with our hair. That is until the fateful day we spotted a handful of starlets like Ashley Olsen, Nicole Richie, Sienna Miller, and Rachel Bilson supporting a milkmaid braid. Gloooorious.

You might not be aware of this, but BoHo is dead. Or at least Sienna Miller says it is, and since I'm not in the business of proclaiming grand statements about cultural epochs (that's why I dropped out of grad school), I'll grant her that.

But before we all start burning our flowy dresses and cowboy boots, I have to ask: what comes next?

It's called "Foho".

Instead of channeling Bohemia (i.e. the former Czechoslovakia), Fohos resurrect the aesthetic of famous folkies like Momma Cass and Joan Baez. According to the Telegraph: "Foho" is about a more understated, eclectic mix, fusing classic Boho elements - Seventies silhouettes, crochet trims and trippy hippie prints - with more subtle folk pieces, such as washed-out denim and traditional embroideries.

Hmm ... that still sounds an awful lot like Boho. I'd hold off on the ceremonial tiered skirt burning for a least a few more seasons.
