Want Obama in your pants?

Filed under: Style in the News, Swimwear and Lingerie, Men

A lot of people have compared Barack Obama's ability to energize and unite the American people to that of JFK. There's also another resemblance: they're both tongue-in-cheek sex symbols. Very few presidential candidates -- much less the collectively unattractive US Presidents -- ever get the honor of having their face plastered on a pair of designer underwear.

Aside from offering support for dudes who wish they had a more shapely butt, designer Andrew Christian is showing his love for the Democrats' apparent nominee with a new line of Obama-emblazoned boxer-briefs. For $29, you can order these semi-creepy undies in green, blue, or royal blue -- $1 from each purchase goes to benefit the Democrat Party. How generous. We're seriously wondering why he isn't marketing any Obama panties or boy shorts?

To McCain supporters, Christian says: tough shizzle. He's a proud Democrat, plus he doesn't think that anyone would buy boxers with John's mug on them -- and he's probably right. See out McCain's dorky green gear.

Briefs for the Sexy Bastard

Filed under: Swimwear and Lingerie, Men

sexy bastard boxer briefsWhether you're a guy or a gal, how could you not love a line of boxer briefs called Sexy Bastard?

Sexy Bastard is one of many product lines from men's designer Andrew Buckler, who also does jeans, hoodies, and other edgy men's fashions. The Sexy Bastard boxer brief caught my eye, not only for the name, but for the actual design. Now, I don't know much about men's underwear, but they certainly look pretty sexy in either red or white, and the most important detail of all, the pocket. No, not the pocket in front, but the tiny riveted pocket in the back. I am not quite sure why a guy would need a pocket on his underwear, but that's probably something I wouldn't want to know.

Sexy Bastard boxer briefs are available online from the Andrew Buckler website or stores (which are listed on the site) and are $30.

Bend the Rules boxer briefs

bend the rules boxer briefsCorrect me if I'm totally off, but I'm going to guess that guys don't generally stand in front of their underwear drawer in a towel, ruffling through it looking for the perfect pair to make them "feel sexy today." I mean, I just imagine that they grab whatever is going to be clean and comfortable. However, men, you can be comfortable and I certainly encourage you to be sexy.

Bend the Rules is a line of men's boxer briefs designed by Markus Bender that is made of a special fabric that keeps you comfortable and cool. The fabric is suposedly anti-bacterial, too, and there is nothing sexier than an anti-bacterial man. The truly sexy part of the boxer briefs is the rock-anthem-y designs: skulls and crosses. They're a little pricey, ranging from $50-$60, but guys, you deserve luxurious undies, too.
