Why aren't you wearing this? Cable Knit Cabbie

We've said it before, and we'll say it again -- we love wearing hats. We like baseball caps, fedoras, berets, you name it. They're a fantastic way to add a little something to an outfit without cluttering up the look.

Additionally, the right hat can take you effortlessly from summer to fall, which is how we plan to use this Cable Knit Cabbie hat. It's only $8.80 at Forever 21, so even if you get just a few uses out of it this season, your cost per wear is low, and we think that once you have this hat in your possession, you'll find plenty of ways to wear it.

Dress of the Day: Michael Kors Cashmere Tunic

Filed under: Clothing, Dresses, Must Haves

michael kors cashmere tunic I am torn about the Runway Cashmere Tunic Dress by Michael Kors. The cable-knit sweater dress looks absolutely wonderfully warm and cozy, and yet because it's such a thick knit cashmere with a heavy, loose turtleneck, I am afraid that I won't get much wear out of it before I start buying up Spring clothes and (as usual) trying to wear them too early.

The dress is super versatile, though, because it can be worn belted or loose (the belt is sold separately), and as a dress, or as a tunic over leggings.

Available from eLuxury for $897 on sale from $1.995.

Dress of the Day: Manoush Sweater Slip Dress

Filed under: Clothing, Dresses, Must Haves

manoush gray and black sweater slipdressThe morning's are cold. The afternoons are warm. Heck, truth be told, the way the weather keeps flip flopping on us from day to day, we can't figure out if we should dress for January or June.

Manoush's Sweater Slip Dress temporarily solves that problem for us. The upper part of the dress is a gray cable-knit sweater perfect for January, but don't think you can get winter that easy because it's a tank-style, which is about as confusing as a sleeveless turtleneck. The bottom of the dress is a wispy black sheer slip dress, which means you basically aren't wearing anything. However, throw on a pair of opaque tights, maybe a pair of rubber rain boots, and this little dress will take you through Spring clear into Summer.

Available on sale from Milk for $258.

Dress of the Day: DVF Kody Cable Knit Sweater Dress

Filed under: Clothing, Dresses, Must Haves

dvf kody cable knit sweater dressLike ShopBop says, "We've yet to find a piece by DVF that we don't love."

The Kody Cable Knit Sweater Dress is a departure from the usual wrap dress in wild prints from Ms. von Furstenberg that make me fall all over myself.

The dress is basically a very long, wool and cashmere blend cable knit sweater with six buttons at the collar (not that you'd button all of them). The edges are thick, ribbed banding. It has short sleeves to keep it functional when you're banging away on your laptop, but it's a thick sweater that can be worn with tights and knee-high boots (I might even say a pair of Uggs could work here), will keep you warm.

The dress is $415 at ShopBop.
