Carmen Electra and the Art of Fame

carmen electraCarmen Electra could be the hardest-working woman in show business. And by show I mean "show up."
In her 15 years in the public eye she has passed through different stages of fame as if they were stations of the cross, from Prince protege (and luv-uh) in 1995 to Playboy model and MTV personality; she was Mrs Dennis Rodman for a year, had an affair with Tommy Lee (eww!) and possibly Joan Jett (yay!) and is currently engaged to former Korn touring guitarist Rob Patterson. Now she is a cheerful hired gun for everything from Taco Bell to Vitamin Water, whose vitaminwater10 launch she put some razzle-dazzle in Thursday night.

Hangover? Fake looking fresh, FAST

Filed under: Product Reviews, Beauty Tips

We've all been there. One too many glasses of vino somehow found its way past our lips, and the next morning, it's not a pretty sight. Sallow, dry, blotchy skin does not make for a good beauty day. So--blah, blah, blah drink lots of water, but that doesn't help for hours. Check out the gallery for my top three hangover helpers.

Special K with all of his lovlies. We all want a salon worthy blow out each time we step out the door. You might think it's easier said than done unless you have Ken Paves on speed dial. Carmen Electra: graphic designs

Filed under: Cosmetics, Celebrities with Style

If you love tattoo designs, but don't necessarily want to commit to one for life, then Carmen Electra's star design manicure might be up your alley. The intricate design definitely requires a time commitment -- we're talking a couple of hours in the chair, between painting and drying time. But if you're the outgoing type, like Carmen, and want to make a statement with your nails, this is the way to go. Don't have all day? Try nail decals!

Where in the world is MAX factor?

The new MAX Factor is all over magazines these days, with those Carmen Electra yellow eyelash ads. They're getting great buzz and the color palette is sizzling. We were dying to try that Vivid Impact mascara and report back to you.

Except we couldn't find it anywhere.

Walgreens? Nope. Rite Aid? Uh-uh. Target? Sorry. Sephora? Don't make us laugh.

Barefoot on the runway is beautiful

Filed under: Runway Trends, Events: On the Scene, Accessories, Shoes

carmen electra at max factor
By now w've all read about Carmen Electra's little slip up on the stage/runway Wednesday night in LA during the Max Factor Salutes Hollywood charity fashion show. Apparently, the runway was so slippery that celebritieis and models had taped the bottoms of their shoes to keep from slipping. However, even with the precautionary measure, Carmen slipped, Allison Sweeney, who went out on stage to help her slipped, so the rest of the show, the models sashayed down the runway in their floor-length gowns carrying their sandals in their hands. They were barefoot!

I think I really like that as a lasting idea. Expensive gowns, and no shoes. Barefoot is beautiful.
