Make some noise with these funny t-shirts

I've been getting rather high-brow lately with regard to t-shirts and their being a canvas that delivers art to the masses. Sure, it's true, but sometimes a t-shirt is just a t-shirt. I mean that in the nicest way.

NoiseBot understand this. They aren't trying to encourage people to read Tolstoy, they want people to watch LOST and link unsuspecting readers to incredible websites. They make t-shirts the way they were meant to be, bright, silly, obnoxious and kind of funny.

The company is ran by some self-described crazy kids in their 20's that stay up too late, ride buses and love Taco Bell. They love what they do and it shows. You can show it, too. Each design is available in a number of t-shirt colors for $20.95, on a hoodie for $35.95, or a tote for $15.95. They make great gifts and offer a few laughs. What's not to love?

Charlie Brown, fashion icon

Charlie Brown teeBack in February, styles were hitting the runways that looked inspired by (if not totally stolen from) everyone's favorite depressed cartoon, Charlie Brown. Now it appears we're done referencing Peanuts characters, and can instead dress exactly them.

Fashionista spotted this iconic Charlie Brown zigzag tee at Fred Flare, apparently intended for the man who doesn't mind wearing bright yellow all winter long.

Honestly dudes, I'd steer clear of this one. This is one of those t-shirts -- much like those adorned with oh-so-clever catch phrases -- that seems like it'd be a really good idea. However, when you put it on, you'll look more like socially maladjusted junior high student than a fashion-forward grown-up.

Cartoon-inspired fashion

Filed under: Runway Trends, Clothing, Dresses

I never get to watch as much TV as I'd like. There's always dozens of programs everyone seems to be talking about, that -- for whatever reason -- I never manage to get into (Lost, 24, the list goes on). However, when it comes to cartoons, I know my stuff.

That's why I was pumped to see that designers have been using characters like Charlie Brown, Pebbles (from the Flintstones) and even Jem -- that bodacious, animated glam-rocker -- as inspiration.

So when you're looking for that new look this Spring, just think back to your childhood, and Saturday morning television, and go from there. I have the feeling good things will happen.
